“Fun, Food and Beautiful Sunsets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Visited in October which is not peak season, so some of the shops were closed. There are many restaurants to choose from, and you are right on the Harbor water. A little pricey, but if you are on vacation, what the heck.

“Very nice day trip.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

While staying in Destin we made a day trip to the Village of Baytowne Wharf. We had met someone who worked in one the restaurants in the Village and they suggested we visit. We were surprised to find that it is located within a gated community. The gate our GPS took us to would not admit us but instead referred us to a second gate where we obtained a pass without difficulty. So if you are coming in from US 98 be sure and take Sandestin Blvd N. onto the property.
The Village itself is a collection of shops, bars, restaurants, condos, and such and is a great way to spend an afternoon, in our case, or an evening eating and drinking and enjoying the ambiance of the area. There is even a restaurant/bar with dueling pianos in the evening. There are a few things for the younger set but it appears to be mainly oriented toward adults.
It is sort of like a step back in time where you can stroll the street with an ice cream cone (or a Voo Doo Bloody Mary). It is easy to just relax and while away a few hours in very pleasant surroundings.
We will be back in the Village the next time we are in the area.

“Nice addition to Sandestin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

This village has it all. Entertainment, dining, and something for everyone in the family. Prices are comparable to Universal CityWalk and Downtown Disney but the crowds are smaller in the off season.

“Perfect Fall Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We stayed at The Grand Sandestin and walked to the Village every day/night. We happened to be there for Halloween and what a great, fun, family atmosphere! Right out of a Normal Rockwell painting. There are wonderful restaurants, cute shops, all kinds of fun things for the kids to do, bars, music, and even an ice skating rink!We would def come back again and recommend the fall when there is little traffic and you can walk right into the places. Also the weather is just perfect!

“One of the good places to eat is Grin-Go's Tex Mex Cantina”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

This was a great little Tex Mex place to eat. We ate there for lunch and dinner. Super nice people work there. It is small but it also has tables outside. Will visit again on our next trip.
Fresh fish tacos were wonderful.
