Let's just agree that the name Comfort Inn does not exude elegance but for a family friendly, beach experience, it was worth every penny. In a town where every meal was priced on the tourist dime, a free continental breakfast comes in handy. This hotel is located right across the street from Henderson State Park, a no-alcohol, family friendly beach. We could have walked but we drove rather than lug our beach stuff ($6/car). We were at Destin over 3/11-3/15 which was Spring Break for some states so the no-alcohol rule at Henderson was important to us since we have two kids; 9 and 7.

Now for a couple of criticisms; the carpet in the room was musty and the Wi-Fi was sloooooow but this was a beach vacation so quite frankly, the bottom of our feet were musty. But all in all, I would definitely stay here again.

BTW, we are not big Olive Garden people but their lunch deal is ALOT of food to go, 2 kids meals, one calzone for adults came with salad and bread sticks for $20 (18% tip included).

I would like to say that this is the first and not the last time to stay at this location. Your prices are very good and the hotel was very clean and the food was super. The location is perfectly located for all your needs.You all had a person that really stood out to me. Her name was Angela Prettyman, she went beyound her job and was super very nice (like she was my sister). She helped with a lot of things like direction and printed tide and weather reports for me just to say a few. I wish all employees could have Angela's attitude it would make everything so much better. I will tell all my friends about your little slice of heaven retreat. We stayed last month Feb. 8 & 9 and were thoroughly impressed with the warm friendly staff and an amazing suite just perfect for the HarborWalk Mardi Gras weekend. Angela at the front desk made sure we were setup in the best possible manner treating us like long lost relatives coming into town. This type of hospitality alone will keep us coming back often. The balcony rooms are defininately the way to go - very spacious and a wonderful view of the gulf. Looking forward to our next visit to Destin and we already know where we are staying! See ya soon. This was our first trip to Destin. We did not have a reservation but had seen the Comfort Inn on internet... We had no trouble with getting a room..In fact they extended our stay by a day, with just a click of the computer, and reissued keys. The desk clerk that evening was WONDERFUL and he recommended a fine restaurant that met all our wishes... We were tired after a 12 hour drive. Our room was great, the room service outstanding.. The breakfast room was fine, and the manager did a fine a fine job of keeping it stocked... Only problem was they seemed to be running low and out of things on our check out day of Thursday.... Sure they were getting ready for weekend. We can't wait to come back and will not even try another hotel/motel in Destin Area.
