“Not Fine Dining, but Fine Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

On a Monday night, the wait for my party of 5 was about 45 minutes...not bad considering all the people trying to get in the place.
There are no white table cloths here but the seafood would be comparable to any linen napkin restaurant. The steamed shrimp were huge, the scallop plated were filled and the drinks never ran out. Service was great and the prices were OK.
I will be back.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

We spent a week in Destin and this was the best restaurant at which we ate all week. I had the Mahi Mediterranean which was delicious. We got there around 5:00-5:30 and our party of 13 only had to wait a few minutes. Got great reviews from the whole family!

“Location, location, location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

We got to Dewey's at 7pm on a Saturday night and waited only 15 minutes to get a table out back by the harbor. They have a nice little waiting area out to the side so you can enjoy the weather and a few of their great drinks. I recommend the Dewey's Lemonade.
I got the fried platter of oysters, shrimp and fish. It was very good and not overly greasy. I didn't care for the hushpuppies but that's simply because of the jalapenos in them. My wife got grilled tilapia and loved it. The boys got chicken fingers and they were giant portions for the kids menu!
The view from the "back porch" simply cannot be beat.

“Believe the bad reviews... Seriously.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

The two previous reviews pretty much cover it... It's another tourist trap and we wouldn't go back even if it was a 10 minute wait. Our server was very nice and tried her best to serve us well, but it was just waaaayyyy to busy and the kitchen stayed backed up. They had Sea trout as one of several types of fish "caught that day", and they absolutely MURDERED it. I chose the trout amandine, which in every restaurant I've ever been to, sautées the fish then drizzles it with capers and a butter sauce... They battered it, deep fried it, and sprinkled loose capers on top. It was soooooo dry, so disgusting... yuck. I sent it back and git the grilled Amberjack. That too was dry with a thick layer of seasoning salt on top... There were 5 of us total and no one liked their food, including the hush puppies, which were chocked full of large slices of jalepino peppers.... Sigh... The worst thing is that we're not that hard to please... We had Wendy's for lunch if that tells tou anything... The food here just wasn't good, same goes for AJ's, except their atmosphere was much much LOUDER!

“Nice view, food ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Had fried shrimp w/ fries, nothing fancy. View is decent of harbor. Not a ton of outdoor seating. Will, our server was great; speedy and friendly. They were out of crab claws and grouper when we went for lunch.
