The staff at reception were very helpful and cooperative in giving us the type of room we prefer. Also, the other staff we encountered during our stay were pleasant and congenial.
The hotel room we had on the sixth floor (of seven) was spacious, comfortably appointed and well maintained.
The room had a microwave oven, a bar fridge, and included free coffee and tea making facilities. It had a sitting-work area by the balcony. (We would have preferred a desk or square table with more space rather than the round, 31-inch diameter decorative table.) The room air-conditioning worked well.
With a bedside table and lamp on each side, we found comfortable the king-size bed mattress and pillows. The LED television offered around 60 public channels, several dedicated pay-to-view options, and information about hotel services and events.
The bathroom had a full bathtub with shower and a good hot-water service. Directly outside the bathroom, was a second counter and washbasin with a hair dryer and a magnifying mirror attached to the side wall.
Through a floor-to-ceiling sliding door was a spacious balcony with a low, round table and two chairs. It had a partial view of the beach and the sea to the horizon. (Some other rooms had uninterrupted views of the beach and sea.)
Soundproofing was fairly typical of most hotels. You could hear noises (slammed room doors, conversation, cleaning activities and the like) coming from the corridor outside; however, these were somewhat reduced because the room doors were recessed from the corridor itself. (The door had a gap around its frame and the floor carpet.) Within the room one could hear the sound of water flowing in an adjoining bathroom and the occasional noises from the room above. Though the heavy sliding door to the balcony was double-glazed, it did admit noise from outside. None of these conditions particularly bothered us. Note that on the side which faces Seagram’s Restaurant you can hear the continuous sound of the air-conditioning unit on the roof, though with the sliding door closed it is only slightly audible.
WiFi in the rooms was $9.95 for 24 hours; however, if you had a Hilton Honors Gold card, staff at checkout would credit you for the amount charged. WiFi was free in the lobby. The coffee shop had several computers, both Windows and Macintosh, and a printer all for free use by hotel guests.
Though we stayed at the hotel for meetings and a banquet, and did not use the entertainment facilities, for people who prefer resort hotels with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, direct access to beach and sea, spa and other facilities, this Hilton is well worthwhile.
There is an outlet mall a short drive from the hotel. Even though the hotel has a shuttle bus, it runs infrequently. You will need a car, as the hotel is a mile or so from the Emerald Coast Parkway I-96, at the end of S. (not N.) Sandestin Boulevard — which is a side road off the Boulevard.

Thank you for sharing your experience regarding your past stay with us here at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa.
After reading your review it seems you stayed in our Executive Suites located in the Spa Tower. Our other tower is named the Emerald Tower and has the bunk beds which is ideal for vacationing families during spring break and the summer. You will be pleased to know that after this summer season we will begin replacing all of the round tables in the Spa Tower with a square activity desk that will encompass more space and provide multiple electronic charging ports.
There are many more improvements we have planned over the winter of 2013 but I would like to keep you and all of our loyal returning guest wondering what is in store for 2014. I will be certain to share your positive and constructive comments with our team in order to find better ways to service our guests and improve our amenities.
