“If you want walk out your door and have the beach this is not the place for you!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

My husband and I wanted to roll out of bed and onto the sand, well that did not happen here. This place is big really big. If you want to be at the beach you have to get in the car and drive there or take the trolley which leaves every half an hour. If you want to spend a week playing golf and swimming its great, we stumbled upon"the wharf village" a huge cluster of restaurants and shops. Its more like a nice time share. The room was modern and clean. It was just to big we wanted a cutesie beach town like Seaside.which we drove through on the way home(this place is awesome!!!!) its alot more money. We have a 2yr old so it a hassle getting in and out of the car at the beach who wants to go through that, I need a vacation after this "Get way"!!!LOL

Room Tip: Corner room had a nice sunset.

This place is a total dump. I am here right now and you name it and its broken. Doors, windows, shower, outlets, etc. place was so dirty we had to call the maintenance group twice and they still never cleaned it. My family rented 3 total units and they were all the same. We learned the hard way but will never come back to this dump. Go somewhere else....fast!

Checked in to Beachside II on July 18th to attend a 3 day meeting and add a few days of vacation to round out the week. This place has become very noisy after 10 PM. People ran up and down the corridor in the wee hours, noisy next door neighbors (with no good soundproofing between rooms), and idiots with fireworks on the beach at 3 AM. I can tell you this was my LAST TRIP to the Sandestin Resort. NOT the restful getaway that I remember from previous visits.

Room Tip: For a peaceful stay, go somewhere else or choose the fall after school starts.

This condo provides the type of luxury one would expect for the $$$s you spend to provide a nice and enjoyable place for you and your family. You are next to the beach and right down the beach are restaurants, shops, and various stands to satisfy all your needs. You don't even have to leave the area but I would at least venture over to the other side to enjoy the Baytowne Wharf. If we hit the lotto, we will buy one of these unit and not look back to say the least. Make sure you book here because Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has other facilities and we have stayed at most off them. This is the best by far...

PS. They have a kitchen in the place so shop at TomThumb down the road. Stock up and you will swear you never left home.

We adores this resort! I had no idea how large it was going to be. We stayed in the beachside II towers and it was a phenomenal location. We were literally steps from the beaches and swimming pool. Our condo was two bedroom and two bath and very spacious and clean. The decor was your standard condo on the gulf coast fare- I could swear every condo from Alabama over has the same framed Lilly picture. But it was well lit and there were multiple Tvs with DVD players to entertain the kids during a few rainy periods. Parking was ample as well in a garage infront of the building. The overall location of the resort is great as well. It was less than two miles to the premium outlet malls and numerous other restaurants and stores. The resort itself has a precious area across the street called the Baytown wharf. It was filled with stores, bars, restaurants and even a carousel for the kids. There was a tram that ran from various points in the resort as well, if you didn't want to use your own car. All the staff we dealt with was quite friendly and we were so pleased we will definitely use this resort again in the future. The ease of being able to really stay in the complex and have everything we need is just great with little kids.

Rented our one bedroom unit through Destin Memories via VRBO. Destin Memories was great to work with you. The views from our living room and bedroom were breath taking. Nice fully stocked kitchen with full refrigerator. There was a tram but we drove ourselves around with the rental car. Really liked the area both Sandestin north and south. The pool looked well kept. We didn't use too many of the amenities at the property since we were there just for the weekend and it was a bit chilly outside. Elevators were speedy but one had the ac going full blast -- it was like stepping into an ice box. That would be my only complaint.

We stayed in a 6th floor room that seemed wll kept. The location was perfect. The SanDestin area is the most family friendly place we have stayed along the gulf (and we have visited almost everywhere). The complex offers a tram/trolley that will take you to the Village at Baytown which means there is no need to use your car if you are there to simply enjoy the beach, do some shoppoing and dine.

Ben P,

Thank you so much for choosing to stay at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort for your most visit to the area. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the resort, the Village and all we have to offer. Beachside Towers has an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico as well as the entire coastline. I am sure you took advantage of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from your balcony. We see you loved being able to park your car and stay on the property to see and do all the things you want during your vacation. We have 2400 acres of gorgeous space and there is so much to take advantage of. We appreciate your business and look forward to your return!
