Stayed in the Tides building. Condo was very nice and beautifully furnished. I was well equiped with everything we needed including towels. We had a partial view of the beach and the balcony was very large and pleasant. The elevators worked well and were fast so no problems with check in. Two pools were very nice but very crowded. I think they were crowded because they are not large enough for the number of people that stay in this 15 story building. We were charged a 136 dollar cleaning fee for the three days we stayed, in addition to our condo rental fee. We were told we had to take out the trash, which does not make sense since we paid a cleaning fee. There are several building that are part of this resort so you enter through a security entrance and then drive to the back of the resort to reach the Tides Building. There are several speed bumps and I don't like speed bumps because I do not like having my car suspension jerked everytime I go in and out of the resort, so that part was unpleasant and tedious to us. We like to go to the Harbor Walk in destin and this resort is about 10 miles from that area. We had a good time and of course the beaches of Destin are stunning.

Room Tip: The condo we stayed in had a very large airconditioning unit under it. It was very loud and made usi...

Fabulous! We stayed in Summit unit 203. It was all new interior, completely renovated with new floor, cabinets, refridge, stove and 4 flat screen tv's with high speed broadband internet. Master bedroom has desk and built in dresser cabinet. Is located between beach and tennis/fitness center which we used often. We saw a family of deer right outside the window in the adjacent nature preserve.
All units are not the same. We were very happy in Summit unit 203 rented thru Resort Quest!

1210 was fabulous! Expensive but a wonderful 2 bedroom condo. We loved it. The Beach was great. Pools were nice. We spent 1 night in 1207, it's kind of old and needs a little updating, but the view was fabulous. They had free mini golf, crafts for kids and a nice pool side grill.

TOPS'L Beach Manor is very dated (80's decor) and in dire need of updates. Our particular unit, 601, exemplified this old look, was over priced, not clean and multiple items did not work. In addition, the beds were old, dusty and saggy. Even our kids complained that the beds were uncomfortable. We called the Front Desk to log a few tickets for the items that were not working but we never received any response. The staff is friendly but they literally have no motivation to help.

The only positive is that the Beach Manor location, which is on the beach - Miramar.

I travel all over the US for business for the past 20 years, and I can definitively say that TOPS'L Beach Manor is a horrible value for the money and I would never stay here again or recommend to a friend.

Room Tip: Even when I called to make the reservation, the staff informed me that units X01 - X07 were beach/oc...

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this resort for three nights in one of the condos (2 br 2.5 bath) next to the fitness center. The rooms were small but clean. It had a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The washer made a very loud banging noise. The shuttle access around the property was nice and air conditioned. The beach was beautiful. The umbrellas and chairs are $28 a day. Make sure you reserve them early. The pools are clean. There is no shade near the pools. We do not play tennis, but the courts were well cared for and seemed to be popular with other guests. We took flashlights to the beach at night to find crabs with the kids. Overall it was a nice place to stay in the Destin area.
