“Old Fashioned Breakfast and lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

Nothing fancy. Just good food at low prices. Worth waiting for if you are on a budget and watching the staff run the place so efficiently was great!

Had a great breakfast here. Service was quick. My go to place
For a quick meal. We sat at the counter. I felt like I was in a good old diner.

“Fun place; great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We hadn't researched places for breakfast prior to arriving in town. We stumbled upon the Green Owl and figured we'd give it a try. We had two great omelettes. Prices were very fair given these were three egg omelettes. The fast and constant coffee refills were great too. Quick service. It was busy and crowded which added more to the charm of the place. We'd definitely go back again.

“Good service, great prices...very average food ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

Went to The Green Owl this morning with family and friends after reading great reviews. We had to wait, but that was to be expected on a Sunday morning. Staff was pleasant and helpful, especially about my son's allergy to nuts. Sat outside overlooking Atlantic Avenue, which was fun. Inside it was dated and less pleasant looking. The prices were great - the "big breakfast" special WAS big and only $7.50. But everything was pretty bland, unfortunately. Not terrible, but nothing to rush back for. Cold drinks were refilled, and the waiter was generally attentive.

“Nice little throwback diner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

I;ve been coming to Delray Beach yearly, for the past four years and have always been meaning to try the Green Owl. It's a breakfast and lunch only establishment, and does get busy.

it's got a nice simple menu, with some appealing breakfast combinations all at very good prices that are tax inclusive. I have eggs with corned beef hash for I think 6 bucks. My second meal this trip was a simple grilled swiss cheese sandwich served with slaw and a half-sour pickle.bucks. My Mom had the soup of the day, which was chicken noodle, which she enjoyed and looked to be well loaded with noodles. With two tea's, we were out the door for 13 bucks plus tip.

The service is friendly and quick, and it seems typical that most if not al of the waitresses will take care of your during the course of your stay.

A nice way to start your morning or afternoon in a nice local atmosphere.
