I was not expecting much when we arrived here for dinner. While we did notice some issues we had a great meal and were pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is an historic house in Delray Beach that has been turned into a restaurant/bar. If you go early (look for your two for one coupon in the Delray Forum Paper by the beach and downtown area) it is a mostly older crowd enjoying a meal with their family/friends. If you go late into the night look out - a loud rock band and a young drinking crowd. This place has poetry reading nights among other events. My husband and I have gone just the two of us and with friends. Everyone we go with loves it. The first time we sat in the back room on couches...rather dirty...HELLO MANAGEMENT! The wait staff was friendly and accomodating. I had butternut squash ravioli which honestly was overly heavy and creamy. I'm spoiled from having had it in a wonderful Naples restaurant. My husband ordered the Salmon and Orzo which was unbelievably delicious!!!!! Now that is the dish I always get and so do our friends. One issue with this place is if you go just as a couple...you will get seated in back nooks/crannys and corners at times, especially on weekends when the place is busy with many parties of four or more. You may want to express a desire for a better table when making your reservation. You definitely need reservations here. The outdoor seating is lovely...picnic like and the tables sit atop pebbles so ladies, leave you heals at home. After dark all the tiki torches are lit and it is really beautiful!!!! We enjoyed the outdoor seating best. The wait staff unlike most restaurants does not over-rush you and they are all very friendly from what we have seen. I can't wait to go back and try another dish. While this is not an elegant atmosphere it is fun and different. Go ahead, give it a try.
