My husband and I have been to the Sundy House over the years and were never thrilled with it - but the setting is beautiful. February 10, 2011, we went for dinner with friends and were appalled that we had never been told it was prix fixe and were never told the price per person. After receiving five INEDIBLE courses with service to match, we received the bill which was approximately $105 per person. I emailed the restaurant the next day to express our distinct displeasure and received a complimentary reward of brunch for two including all charges, tax and tip on any Sunday until February 13, 2012. We reserved a table for Sunday, February 12, 2012, and were told after we were seated that it was a holiday weekend (yeah?) and there would be an up charge of $10 per person. We left immediately. Any establishment which relies on word-of-mouth and good reviews should recognize that a complimentary brunch is exactly that - especially when the certificate did not indicate any restrictions. We knew the food would not be especially good, per our prior experiences and those of friends', but we did expect to eat. DON'T GO HERE. The customer is always wrong, the food is abysmal and the service is nonexistent. Unfortunately it took two "burns" for us to learn our lesson.
