I get the feeling this is a bar wanting to be a restaurant. The bar is actually setup pretty cool with an opening to the outside seating area and 8 or so TV around.
3 of us visited Burt & Max's last Friday night for dinner and to catch up with each other. It was cold outside for South Florida so people were not using the outdoor seating, therefor the reservations were running about 15 minutes late. We finally got our table about 5 minutes late, but it was right across the isle from the bar. Man it was LOUD and I even had a hard time hearing the waiter describe the specials.
I chose to do small bits for dinner. I ordered the grilled wings and a small salad for dinner. I loved the wings, something about grilling wings make them taste much better. The salad wedge was kind of dry with not much dressing.
My wife had the fish taco's and said they were good didn't have much flavor.
Our friend tried the bacon wrapped meatloaf and she loved it.
Now that I know what to expect, I'll give it another try in the future and probably sit and eat at the bar or outside while watching sports on TV.
