“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Staying at the Hyatt at pineapple grove was a great experience. At first when entering I was surprised. The lobby was nice and sleekly decorated. The person at the desk was very nice and friendly, as all the staff was. They were more informal than I expected, but not in a negative way. The room was not plush but very functional and comfortable. I liked that they gave toothpaste in the bathroom but would have liked moisturizer. The bed was very comfy. There was one odd thing. Above the TV facing the bed there were these very small lights, like for a switch but they were very bright and couldn't be turned off. I just hung a hat on them. The room was very quiet and there was no sound of the train which is nearby. I asked for a quiet room.
The gym was adequate but small. The breakfast was very good for one included.

We are staying here, now. Great Location in the middle of everything (arts district, market, restaurants, cafe's, shopping, museums). If you want a Beach Hotel, this is not the most convenient place...it's about a 20 minute walk to the ocean. Quick and friendly check in. Parking in Hotel Garage. Room: Awesome! - comfortable bed (king), enough closet-space and drawers, fridge (!), large LG Flatscreen TV (rotate able)' desk with VERY comfortable office chair, sectional couch (pull-out-bed), spacious room, bathroom clean and updated (great shower!). Room-Service quick, friendly and good...although condiments were missing, but were delivered quite fast. Breakfast included! Nice variety. At times, some utensils were missing and at 9:30 it was somewhat picked over...but was restocked by 9:45 (...and they close at 10.00 on Sat. - so no complaints). Pool-Area is clean, spacious, pool water not too cold - actually perfect (I'm a cold water wuss!), there's also a hot-tub. Gym is available but nothing special to mention. Really like this hotel. A favorite now! Only a couple of thoughts: Staff may be a little overwhelmed or understaffed at times. Breakfast Tables were not cleared for a while (dirty dishes and left over food) and towels at pool were very low or even out, at certain times. - But we did find a clean table and had fresh towels at pool! - By the way, i have yet to find an unfriendly staff-member, they have all been helpful and friendly. I bought a bag of chips. It was $1.06. While searching for 6 cents - the staff-member said not to worry about it, he's got it covered. Now that was nice! Wifi is FREE, yes FREE and works great. STAY HERE - YOU WILL NOT REGRET! Outstanding! Thank you Hyatt Place, Delray Beach!

Mostly good and a tiny bit bad. The hotel is in a great place; one block off the Avenue by all the restaurants. The beach, however is a bit of a haul. Contemporary and modern decor. The rooms have a modern feel. Bed is comfortable. The tile work in the shower was a crap job and the grout was mildew. Otherwise room seemed clean. I wished there was a safe so I didn't have to drag my valuables with me. Breakfast was tasty; the coffee not so much, but I hate Starbucks so...Parking garage seemed too small to accommodate the hotel; we had to park on the street one night. There are signs posted in the elevator that say there is a $15 fee to park. This was not stated when I made the reservation or when I checked in so I was a bit annoyed. But the charge was not on my bill. Not sure what's up with that. Overall a good stay. I'd stay here again if the price was right.

I stay at multiple Hyatt Place's on a weekly basis, and this is not your average Hyatt Place. The hotel decor is similar to that of a Hyatt Place with much more modern touches. The rooms were unbelievable, and the location can't be beat. It's also great that they have a full bar if you're interested. The breakfast is standard, not super extensive but enough to get you by. I also really enjoy their new late night menu. LOVED my stay here.

I found the staff to be extremely helpful during my stay. Dustin, who was mentioned negatively in reviews below, was coincidentally the one to check me in, and I thought he was great. Very helpful, made restaurant suggestions, provided directions, was extremely professional, and was just overall friendly. In fact, all of the staff were. I cannot understand these complaints noted below. You'll have to go check them out for yourself. Great hotel for business or pleasure :-)

This is a great new option for business travelers to the Palm Beach/Delray/Boca area. It is affordable, clean, modern, new, & and perfectly located just off Atlantic Avenue's Great dining - or try several great spots (Max's Harvest or Brule) on the same road in the opposite direction.

But until they get this place fully staffed and trained, it will fall into the Hampton Inn category of lesser three stars for me. There are never enough front desk staff to check you in or out. One person seems to have to handle everything happening on the entire lobby level. I stayed 5 times this year already, and it has never improved. While the staff is friendly enough, they are overworked and stressed out. It's hard to be hospitable when you are freaking out.

Room Tip: I think they are all roughly the same layout, but ask for a poolside room - no ocean views.

Service at check in was excellent. We arrived at noon in 90 degree heat and were told not a problem to check in early - amazing! The hotel has a contemporary feel and looks brand new inside all areas with great decor and a spotlessly clean feeling. The halls are quiet and modern, elevators perfect and the room was amazing! Large, spacious, bright. Huge tv, closet, bed was fantastic and a sofa (sectional) for lounging. Room was perfectly clean and we did not want to leave. Fridge, iron, great shower and a beautiful pool and functional gym. Breakfast free and was also very enjoyable. Laundry facilities on site were totally helpful with a weeks worth of dirty clothes. Staff were all pleasant and accommodating and the location could not be better for Delay Beach be it for shopping, tennis, dining or the ocean. Parking at the hotel for a mere $15 bucks or free on the street. What more could you want? This should be a 4 star property as 3 stars is simply not enough. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again without hesitation.

Stayed at the hyatt place for 5 nights with the family. Rooms are spacious. Two queen beds plus a large sofa. Rooms are very new, clean and quiet.bi read some complains about customer service in other reviews but can not agree with those. The staff was very helpfull and very friendly. Anything we asked they tried to do for us. We stayed here because my daughter was playing a tennis tournament at the delray beach tennis club which s only 5 min walk from the hotel. Which brings me to the last but not the least, the location of the hotel is right in the middle of downtown delray. Just a 2 minute walk from Atlantic Avenue where all the shops, bars and resturants are but just far away enough to ave no noise from it. If you want proximity to the beach the hyatt place is less of an option, about 20 min walk. Parking is 15 dollars a night but very convenient, right at the back of the hotel.
