My wife and I just spent 3 days at this hotel - and quite enjoyed our stay. It's certainly not for those that are use to or expecting the standards of Sheraton, Marriot etc but its got a cool vacation, 'chill out' vibe that's very In synch with Delray.
You couldn't ask for a better location or more accomodating staff. The rooms, though somewhat dated are rustic cabana style, with working AC and need of some minor touch ups ( the couch on our room wasa bit on the nasty side, a few too many stains from wet swim suits or something :o)). We had a 1 bdrm, which came with a DVD player, infinity cable, full kitchen, king size bed, living room area. NB : if you leave dishes in the sink they will clean them for you but there's a $10 charge for that so you'll want to make sure you're aware of that (the sign is kind of small). The rooms come with wifi and the front desk will happily provide you with a cable if your signal isn't as strong as you require.
The pools are small but fine for the guests, the grounds are lush with some great landscaping that makes you feel as though you're away from the city tucked away on an island somewhere - quite cool. There's ice water with lemon near each pool, and decent wi-fi by both pools.
There's a continental Bkfst available from 9-11 each morning which shows that the location is clearly more intended for vacationers than business clients. The spread is much more than continental and includes mini quiches, cereal, coffee, fresh fruit, orange juice ...
All in all I'd consider staying here again. I thought that it was quite pricey for what you get but it was well situated and the vibe and staff made it worthwhile. Make sure to see what discounts are available including AAA to help on the costs. If you want Marriott there are 2 that are a 2 minute walk from here, if you want different and a friendly Delray experience that's kind of 'beachy' then this is the place for you !! :o). No Worries !!
