“Better Than Average with Good Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2012

Saturday evening early bird can be an experience, but as far as this one goes,it was not bad. I would have preferred to sample the regular menu, but the early bird was sufficient to determine that this restaurant is trying. The garden salads with the early birds were not the typical piece of lettuce and a carrot. They were larger with all garden salad vegetables. Our dinners were Chicken Parmigiana, Eggplant Rollatini, Snapper Francese and Veal Marsalla. All were well prepared and tasty. The service was attentive and the food was served quickly and came out hot. Although newly painted and with new furniture, there is little in the way of decor, but the atmosphere is pleasant.

“Need another visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2012

We have a 2 visit rule before we add/subtract a resturant, visit 1 didn't make it. We used a GROUPON coupon, after following the rules and the rolling eyes from the staff we were served. We ordered a bottle of wine, one app. and 2 main courses. Bottle #1 and Bottle #2 out of stock. Offered House Bottle #3, old rule don't drink house wine unless Pappa Nona made it. Crab cakes were very good, nice presentation and full of crab no fillers. We then had Osso Buco and Pasta Bistro for mains. Osso Buco was fall off the bone and tasty but sauce overpowered the meat, at $37 at the high end. The pasta with 4 shrimp and crab meat, sans tomatoe as advertised was $32. big price for small taste. It was a slow night and the service was very good, attentive but a little too fast. We had little time to enjoy bottle #3. At coupon rates it's worth the visit but visit 2 will tell the truth.

“Very good, except for service lapse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2012

Saltimbocca Italian Bistro on the S.E. corner of Atlantic and Military replaces the former Atlantic Fish. 14820 S. Military Trail, Delray Beach 561.455.4017
Restaurant opened 12/27/11 so they are new. Four of us went in at 7pm on a Saturday without a reservation and we were seated in ten minutes. The place is large, they have a lovely bar and a private room available. Not fancy but very nice looking interior. Wide assortment of Italian as well as non-Italian items on the menu. Prices were on the moderately expensive side. Food was delicious. Two wines, two spicey crab bisques, one spinach salad divided, One each chicken scarpiello, pork chop, osso bucco, and a veal chop, plus three capuccinos ran us over $100. per couple with tax and tip. Service was excellent until the food was served and then the waiter disappeared. Had to catch and send other people in the back to arrange for coffee and get our check. Never saw him again.

“early bird was the best/ upscale with fine china.presentation.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2012

we had saltimboca , veal & chicken the food was awersome ,a complete dinner is served before 5.30 pm..it came with soup or salad, main course with a side of spaggetti. beverage & dessert. full coffee cup, key lime & terrimisu.cost $17&19 each. the place is new smells new. well decorated, service was good more servers than patrons, seem a lot of them were training.
one problem that was rectified. took a 25% off coupon for the early bird waitress said it was no good but the manager honored it. this was a great meal better than i had at the kees grill in boca.on tues.. dinner prices are very high priced $$$$$> making the early bird the deal..
