This small town is short on decent places to stay. We found this hotel to be clean, quiet and in a good location to visit relatives in the area. Nice small outdoor pool and breakfast room. We would stay here again! The Perkins nearby is a good place for breakfast and lunch.

It is a shot in the dark to book online, but what a pleasant surprise this hotel was. There was a big bicycle race that weekend and the hotel was packed. We spent two nights there and it was a great experience. The room was a suite and had been updated--very nice colors and bedspread. Very clean!!! I liked the fact that they put extra towels in the bathroom and I didn't have to ask for them. The microwave and mini frig were appreciated and there is shopping right across the street. As for the complimentary breakfast---we don't eat donuts, pastries, or waffles and there wasn't much in the way of fruit, but the coffee was good and served with Half and Half.
Staff was polite and the owner/manager was onsite and always hovering. We would definitely stay here again.

Have frequented this hotel now for several years and found it clean and quiet. My last couple of stays have showed a decrease in maintenance and cleanliness. The room I stayed in was dirty and the sheets seemed like they weren't changed. The hallway on the second floor smelled like puke and perfume. Nasty. I stayed at a different hotel last week because of the these smelly issues. The guy at the front desk had a negative attitude and that didn't help. Hopefully they'll cleanup their act.

THEY DO NOT ACCEPT PETS ANY LONGER

We drove for 2 1/2 hours to find out they would not allow our 13 lb dog to stay in the room. The male manager- told us, and I qoute "he (your pet) is welcome to stay in your car for your stay"! At 40 degrees during the night he (the manager) needs to stay in his car during the night. I should have been told at the time of reservations that there policy changed. The HOLIDAY INN next door accepts pets and is very nice. I highly recommend them especially on very short notice- they were able to get us room for the weekend, so we didnt have to drive back home! The lady manager is still wonderful- the owner is horrible!
