BEWARE-- those who have always stayed here in the past----
THEY DO NOT ACCEPT PETS ANY LONGER

We drove for 2 1/2 hours to find out they would not allow our 13 lb dog to stay in the room. The male manager- told us, and I qoute "he (your pet) is welcome to stay in your car for your stay"! At 40 degrees during the night he (the manager) needs to stay in his car during the night. I should have been told at the time of reservations that there policy changed. The HOLIDAY INN next door accepts pets and is very nice. I highly recommend them especially on very short notice- they were able to get us room for the weekend, so we didnt have to drive back home! The lady manager is still wonderful- the owner is horrible!

This is a very nice clean hotel with excellent service and customer care. The breakfast bar food was fresh and tasty.

Great location to access the Daytona area and its many tourist
activities.

I highly recommend this hotel and the great restuarant just east of it called Molly Malones Irish Pub and Grill. Our hotel desk clerk recommended this eating establishment and he was right on!

Excellent food, beverages and great band called the Dave Disney group.

We've stayed in many types of accommodations on many levels and this Comfort Inn is exceptional for it's class. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Our room and commons areas were immaculate. The breakfast includes fresh Dunkin Donuts along with cereals, breads, muffins, and the usual breakfast beverages. I understood from the manager that beginning in February a hot entre will be added to the menu. We traveled with about 24 college kids (who were attending a community college symposium at Stetson - only about 8-10 minutes away) and this was probably the best of the accommodations we could have utiltized. There were closer places to stay, but from what we could discern, nothing better! This property is at the doorstep of a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream shop and not far from Publix & WalMart and other restaurants. There's even a 24 hour Walgreens & a McDonalds within walking distance from property. We plan to make this our preferred lodging when in the DeLand area. Each room had a small refrigerator and microwave along with a small coffee pot with coffee & fixings. The only possible drawback for a group putting 4 to a room is that the double rooms contain double beds instead of the more comfortable queen beds. We spent the extra $10 for our room to have a king suite (king bed and pull-out sofa - which our son said was comfortable - and at 6'2", he's picky). This Comfort Inn is an excellent facility...and we've stayed at some which were not.

Stayed one night at this hotel and it was clean, not fancy, but comfortable. Our room had a microwave and a mini refrigerator which was nice to be able to have cold drinks and pop corn in the room (Publix supermarket is right across the street). The t.v. line up was great - LOTS of channels. Bathroom, while not fancy, was adequate with shampoo and soap and a shower cap. Sheets and towels were very clean. Coffee pot looked dirty, it had old coffee stains on the sides of it, but we were not planning on using it anyway, as in the mornings they have a continiental breakfast downstairs in the dining area. Several types of cereal, milk, fruit juices, bagles, doughnuts, waffles (toaster kind), muffins, and great coffee. Nothing fancy - but a nice touch and included free. Dining area was clean also.

One of the beds in the room had exposed box-springs as the box spring was ripped (a quite noticeable hole maybe a foot or more in length).

Pillows were comfortable too and seemed to be clean. All in all I would stay here again, although I think I will ask for a suite if they have one. Just for the extra room.

There was also a small round table and two chairs in the room, a nice area to eat a sandwich or a small dinner, and a desk and chair - and wireless internet which worked good too.

I would stay at this hotel again - although I think if I was on a big vacation and staying a few days, I would probably go somewhere fancier. But for a night or so on the road, or for a working trip hotel, it was great.

Reasonably priced, I think our room was like $79 for two double beds.

Staff was quite helpful - especially the lady at the front desk with I think a German accent. Told us nice restaurants to eat at in the area, etc..

This hotel is located right across the street from the airport in Deland, so if you are going there for skydiving (which is very popular there) it is a perfect spot to stay.
