“Home town feeling, you are a regular !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

We have eaten at the "Patch" for seven (7) years. Doug and Lil Rand own the place, they will greet you by name every time you arrive. This is home cooking, at it's best. The wait staff, Pam, Michelle, Lori, also know your name, and know your drink of choice, they will show up at your table to get your order with your drinks !!! This is a breakfast and lunch place, only open till 2:00 pm. Get there early, to avoid the wait, which IS worth it. The breakfast is superb, they even will make it special for you, I like cinnamon pancakes, not on the menu, but they will make them for me, no extra charge. The burger at lunch is great, the steak fries are huge, and plentiful. Try the country fried steak, yummy!!! Go there once, shake Doug 's hand, introduce yourself, he WILL remember you, your next visit!!

“OK, worth the wait but would try something else next time.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012

went here on our way to bike week and knew from the reviews that it could be busy and it was. With that in mind the 10min wait was fine. We both got the special "bacon and cheddar cheese omelet" it was good but I would prefer a sharp cheddar. it didn't have a lot of flavor. we watched other plates coming out and i would say you will not leave here hungry! We have some issues with getting our food hot, often wonder if that just isn't expected anymore though it is from us!! the potatoes were barely warm, my husband had a pancake with his and said it was the same, toast was cold. We are not from the area and would probably try another next time. Service was good but seem to be stingy with the coffee refills, maybe just too busy maybe want to keep tables moving.

Had a great lunch at very cheap prices. Excellent food and big portions. Definitely worth stopping in for a quick meal!

“Always a great spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012

We discovered the Potato Patch when we first moved to DeLand and it has always been a favorite stop. The staff is always friendly and the beverages are always flowing. You can't beat the value, service or taste!

“Great Dive!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

Cash or check only! Food is home-cooked and delicious! Pancakes are huge, omelets are delicious. I had country fried steak and everything was delicious, including the home fries. The restroom is pretty bad, so go before you come. No refills on soda, so order some tea (fresh and strong).
