The first clue should have been 2 cars in the parking lot at 7:30 on a Saturday night. The second clue not to eat here was the hand written rude sign warning people that the restroom is off limits to anyone who does not order food from here. The third clue was the empty restaurant. We're always willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but as a trip advisor member, I always check the reviews first on this site but failed to do so for this place. Wish I had!! We're still reliving the horrible experience! We sit at the booth and we were shocked to see an employee scrubbing a section of the floor with a deck brush. This was annoying, but assumed she was just cleaning up an area from previous guests. Wrong. We ordered a 1/2 carafe of Chianti..$10.95. It was watered down. Seriously? We didn't say anything because we couldn't prove it, but we KNOW our wine! Then we asked about the house specialties, one of which we ordered, veal with a wine sauce tossed with capers, artichoke hearts, asparagus, etc. Sounded delicious. I was recommended to have the Chicken Marsala as the waitress bragged on how that was one of the favorites. Sold..Chicken Marsala it is. Up charge for the caesar salad. No problem. She brings us garlic knots. They were good. It's pretty hard to screw up garlic knots. Then the tiny salads in these tiny cheap wooden bowls. The bread plates were tiny wooden plates that my husband had to dry off before placing one by me. Thirty minutes later and the woman was STILL scrubbing the floor. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard. I asked our server if she would please ask the woman to stop while we were trying to enjoy our evening out and it was not only very rude, but extremely annoying. I actually have this videotaped on my phone. She said she was trying to catch up on the cleaning, but would ask her. (??) She stopped, thank God. Then the food comes out! Holy crap! What in the world was this placed before us? Light beige thick gravy with canned mushrooms smothered over thin light beige chicken patties over pasta. I timidly took a bite and pushed it aside. It was nauseating. My husband's dinner was absolutely the most disgusting presentation of what should have been a lovely dish. It honestly looked like the canned stew we buy for our dogs. Beige thick sauce with chunks of everything all mixed up and pressed down into the pasta and meat. One bite and he was through as well. Worst food we have ever had! The waitress was apologetic, wanted to serve us something else, we were not about to try anything else. The manager came over, same one people have talked about on other reviews, wanted to prepare us something else...no way!! Cut our losses and left, but not before telling her how disgusting the food was and that her kitchen staff seriously needs help. Also gave the waitress advice to find work elsewhere, as this place won't be open for long. We were so disappointed as this was our "date" night. Honestly, we were left with such a sick feeling we didn't go anywhere else, just home. Enough said.
