My wife, mother and I ate at the Stockyard last evening. It was crowded as expected. This is a new restaurant opening last month. The room we were seated in initially had an intolerable decibel level. The wood walls, wood floor and low plaster ceiling made the acoustics unacceptable and we were seated in another section of the restaurant that was much better. The service was satisfactory. I ordered a $19 14 oz. rib eye that was tasty but tough. My wife ordered a $21 filet that again was tasty, but not that tender for tenderloin. My mother had the fried shrimp which was good. The twice baked potato and sweet potato fries were very good. My wife and Mother had beer that was two for one and fairly priced. I had two overpriced Jack on the rocks that were watery.
