Orbitz got me a great deal on this hotel, but after seeing reviews I was scared. When I got there the lady behind the check in desk seemed pretty sleezy, but the hotel was nice. I was 215 in the courtyard. With the a/c on low I couldn't hear the pool, music, or the tri-rail. The room was clean, a couple stains on the rug, and the bathroom was clean, but could use some new fixtures. The room itself seemed like it had new bed, comfy, and new furniture as well. The gardens and pool were great, but the breakfast left something to be desired. No tea or hot chocolate. Bagels, donuts, and some dry cereal to go with coffee, juice, and milk. The tri-rail is a great way to get around. The beach is great, but the beach shuttle takes 45 minutes to get back to the hotel due to other stops.

I got there at 2pm I was told at the front desk because I didn't give them a 24 hour notice that I would be charged for one night so I said well how about I give you a 24 hour notice now and stay one night I asked to see a room. Supposedly when you book on-line you get a deluxe room this room didn't have hot water so I told the girl at the desk with her tattoos prominent displayed that I was not staying here or paying $120 for the night for there deluxe room
she said fine go ahead and stay at La Quinta I called my credit card Chase and told them not to allow them to charge my card but of course all I could do was wait till they charged my account and dispute it. Here is is 2 days later and of course they did so now I'm going though the process of a dispute I'm sure all Will be good at the end. The Best Western one exit down is nice of course they are about $150 a night so we stayed there one night then on to the Extended Stay also on SE 10th This place was great first time at one I totally recommend at $123 a night for 2 double beds very clean Internet a kitchen I feel safe nice staff can't go wrong. I checked the Holiday Park Web site again no mention of 24 hour cancellation notice and also the web site does require a credit card number but doesn't check to make sure it's a legit card so if you are determined to stay there reserve the room with a bogus credit card number maybe just change the last digit and when you get there do not give them your card you can then walk and not be worried. This place is an horrible dump. When we opened the door, we were in shock of just how bad it was. Stained carpet, scrapped/scarred walls, rusted luggage holder, bugs crawling on the walls, moldy bathroom, no drain plugs on the sink or tub, Ironing board with no iron, coffee maker with no coffee cups. Broken drawers, missing drawer pulls, lousy mattress, old furniture. Very loud noise outside our door. Even our college age son couldn't believe how bad it was and ask if we were staying. We arrived so late due to flight delay that we simply could not start looking for another room. We had already pre-paid for two nights but the next morning, we checked out. I was embarrassed for someone to see me in a place like that. This place does not deserve a one star rating. We got this room on a package deal through Travelocity. They should be ashamed to offer this package deal. We were in Fort Lauderdale for the Orange Bowl and this just about ruined the trip. We spent our next next at the airport. I had a better rest sitting in an airport chair over this dump.

The non-smoking room wreaked of smoke. The carpet was extremely stained and dirty. Toilet continually ran and there was a hole in the wall where the plumbing came through along with smoke from the room behind it. The buildings (owned by Holiday Park) behind the one in which I stayed were completely run down and housed the extremely poor. People would knock on your door at all hours of the night. People would be drinking in the parking lot and harrass you when you went to your car. Kids would skateboard at all hours on the second floor catwalk. This place was totally disgusting. The area was next to the railroad. If you have the unfortunate need to book this hotel, Sleep in your car, you will be more comfortable.
