I stayed at this hotel from July 9-13, 2008 and have never had such an experience. I roomed with two other females during a Christian Seminar and we each agreed to pay our portion of the rate. We informed the front desk of this and two of us had credit/debit cards and told the clerk how much to take from each card. The other person paid cash up front. Well, my card was frozen from that day forward! I incurred fees and charges for insuffiency and could not use it to pay the shuttle cost to the airport on 7/13. Plus, we had to pay for the refrigerator and no one told us this up front. The cost, $10.00 per day. This is the Hilton folks!!!! I contacted the hotel on 7/15 when I check my account online and learned that the hotel personnel had also charge me the balance of one of my roommates without my knowledge or permission. How nervey is that?! Fraudulent! Anyway, I contacted the hotel and spoke with the account dept., and played phone tag with the manager for 2 wks. I wrote to the corporate office only to received an email from a young woman who said they would look into the matter. The manager and I spoke briefly one week ago Tues. or Wed. (today is Sun. 8/17) and he offered me a free night stay if I ever return to Fl. and dinner on the house. No way! I have sent an email to the corport person and plan to write another letter telling them what I want. I have spoken with legal counsel too! G. A. Slaughter, Phila., PA
