Let me start off by saying we go to Daytona beach every summer for a long weekend vacation. We normally stay at Days Inn Tropical Seas however they were booked so we booked here instead. We booked an ocean front room with king bed. Upon arrival we were able to check in about 2 hours before check-in time which was really nice however they gave us the wrong room. We got sent to an efficiency room with two beds. Went back to the front desk and explained how we had reserved a king bed only to be told we had not. After the lady behind the desk brought out the paperwork and read the reservation she saw that we were right and quickly apologized, gave us a new room with a king bed still before check-in.
Room was as expected, decent. Nothing great, nothing bad. The bed wasn't that comfortable but you'll be so tired from being at the beach all day it won't matter. Sheets had a couple rips in them but other than that the room was ok.
We chose to not have our room serviced since we were only there two nights, mentioned to the lady cleaning the room that morning that we could use some extra towels. She said she would have to get them, then continued on her business. Didn't think we would see any new towels but we had a bag on our door when we got back from the beach with some new towels.
Overall an ok experience, nothing real bad or real good about it. Just average. Would suggest this hotel for anybody going on a short stay. After getting back home and checking online a little bit I found that the Hilton was only about $10-20 more per night than we paid for this hotel.
Hope this helps somebody!
