“Diamond in Daytona!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2008

My 2nd visit better than the 1st (and that was near perfect). Wonderful hotel, spa and pool. But what sets it aside from the rest of the best is their management team and staff. Beautiful, well planned rooms with ooh la la baths.. Smokers are welcome, but as a non, I never knew it. Pets are welcome too! The gym is like everything else..topnotch..Extras like evening visits from housekeeping, to pool service ... all adds up to outstanding service and value..Can't wait to return!

I had the good luck to stay overnight at the Shores Resort this week.
While I studied the photos online, reality was so much better. After a long drive, it was heaven to be able to stop at the beachfront tiki bar and lounge in an adirondack chair around the firepit.
Next morning, a long walk on the pristine sand just outside the pool gave me a great start to my vacation.
Bedding and bathrooms were top-notch. Staff friendly and professional.
Lunch at Azure was exceptional and I could barely tear my eyes away from the sparkling ocean view.
I will definitely be returning for a longer stay and book a spa package and a wrap around balcony room.

This hotel is a lovely beachfront property! The staff is professional and friendly. The food at Azure was amazing! The firepits and cabanas are a unexpected surprise. What a great getaway adventure. I can't wait to come back!

This hotel was wonderful! The rooms were clean and very nice. The atmosphere was relaxing and romantic. The pool and beach area were beautiful, with firepits at night. We loved our stay here. Although I do not think we will ever go back to Daytona for vacation, if we do this will be where we stay!

We planned a winter getaway from the -50 degrees and blowing snow so booked an ocean front room so we could leave the door open and enjoy the sound of the ocean and the fresh air smell.WRONG!All we "enjoyed' was the smell of non-stop smoking from the next door client,if it wasn't him then it was her so needless to say,our door to fresh air and the sun was CLOSED.This hotel seems to cater to the smokers I see, anyone who suffers from allergies STAY AWAY!The restaurant is slow, maids clean room even if DO NOT DISTURB sign was up,and hotel is extremely noisey-you hear every door slam and water running in the middle of nite when someone decides to shower. This was NO HOLIDAY!!!I do not recommend!

Not sure when I stayed at the hotel. The hotel was great, I didn't like the balcony rooms were only king bed (something like that). I would have rather liked a room with a balcony. Windows opened so that was cool. Hotel restruant was kind of expensive. They had a little fire area by the pool and bar, that was nice to sit at. The pool was alright, liked the beach better. Stairs to get down to the beach. I didn't like parking, it was across the street, but how there is a overpass above the road, made it safer to get to your car, although the overpass was hot in there. If you stay at the hotel, you should ride on the beach with the golf carts, they are fun, and you can view different parts of the beach.

Loved this hotel & Would return!!

My husband and I stayed at the Shores for our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it! We booked through AAA and got a HUGE discount!
We had booked a king oceanview, but the gave us 2 doubles... they moved us to a patrial ocean view with a king AND A BALCONY. The balcony more than made up for the loss of the direct ocean view.
The room was very nice. It was the most confortable bed we've ever slept in!
We didn't use room service or eat at the on-site restaraunt... way too expensive... and there were many restaraunts nearby.
The pool was very nice, as was the hot tub. The beach was public access, and very crowded.
The staff was nice enough, but they knew we were not the normal type of guests (we're fresh from college... with the budget that goes aong with that!), and occasionally felt as if they treated us that way.

  • Liked — the room and the balcony
  • Disliked — how expensive the restaraunt was
