We stayed in unit 505, which is a penthouse unit. We rented it through one of the private owners, based upon the good ratings from previous TripAdvisor reviews. After reading all the very diverse ratings, we didn't know what to expect and held our breaths as we opened the door to the unit. I was shocked! It was far nicer than the pictures that the agent had sent us, and so much roomier than I'd expected. There was a foyer in which you entered, a long hallway with the bathroom and huge bedroom with two queens at the far end. On the opposite side of the split planned unit, there was a very comfortable murphy bed in the living room, and the kitchen was gorgeously tiled with very fashionable furniture. The closet was as large as another room, and there were no less than 3 huge ones. We have stayed in timeshare many times previously, but those in Daytona left much to be desired. I am very pleased to say that this was as nice...if not nicer...than any of the timeshares we've been in Daytona. The agent, Stephanie Jones, from Hawaiian208, made sure that we had an adequate supply of everything...in fact, there was overkill. I would return to the Hawaiian Inn penthouse in a heartbeat!! Where else could you find a unit that can sleep 6 people so comfortably for under $700 a week? You people that give the Hawaiian such horrific reviews need to stay with the private owners. The units are a world apart from the front desk units. Our friends booked a unit from the front desk, and it left a lot to be desired. I've never been so utterly pleased, and boy, were our friends p-----!
