Very nice family run motel with a great location close to restaurants and right on the ocean.

I thought I purchases a 1 week stay at a nice motel with an oceanfront view..at least according to the web site..When my wife and I got there..Oh my god.. what a disappointment.. the view was facing a sandyparking lot.. the room was no bigger than a very small bedroom..the shower and toilet leaked and the "window" air cond. sounded like a twin-prop plane taking off.. We stayed only one night and went elsewhere.. Don't expect a refund from this ripoff either..We come to Daytona twice a year.. never again here

Hotel needs lots of items to be updated. Bath and shower faucets barely worked.Towel rack was broken off wall.Rooms very small.
Left phone cord in room and staff wanted $25 service charge plus mailing cost to send $2 package.

We saw pictures of the Dream Inn online and thought it looked like a nice place to stay. The rooms looked nicely kept and tropical and the pictures of the pool made it look inviting. We drove to Florida for Christmas to visit family and had to call the Dream Inn to let them know that we were going to be late for check-in. The woman at the desk said that we could arrive when we wanted but the front desk would be closed after 7 pm. She assured me that our room would be ready and not to worry. She also let me know that since the desk was closed they would LEAVE OUR KEY UNDER THE DOOR MAT!!! Was that a joke? Once we arrived the first thing I thought was get me out of here. And sure enough, our key was under the mat! Anyone could have known that they leave keys under the mat and gone in our room. The room, needless to say, was not tropical. It wasn't even typical. The carpet was dirty and the room had a musty oder. The ceiling was patched up and the bedspread was brown and old. When I called the woman to explain we were unhappy with the room she said they had just updated the decor and that we wouldn't be able to see her until the next morning. Her son was supposedly staying on site to handle any emergencies. They were not willing to refund any money and offered no appologies explaining it was a clean and safe place to sleep. They also explained it was safe since the police often sat in the lot across the street to monitor. We ended up staying at the Days Inn next door, thank God they had an open room.
