“Very nice!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We all enjoyed this, our family ranges in age from 53 to 3, and we all hiked the 203 steps to get to the top. What a view!! The brochure says that one can see about 20 miles out into the ocean. It is truly breathtaking. And the park also includes getting to go through the keeper's quarters, and has several buildings to tour. If you like history, you will enjoy that part as well. Beautiful lighthouse and so glad that we went!

“Foiled by T-storms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

We were looking forward to this tour since we've been to many lighthouses from the Canadian Maritime Provinces to Key West. This one had a number of out buildings to visit with well informed personnel manning the stations. Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is the tallest in Florida so we looked forward to the view from the top. We reached the 2nd to last landing on the way up when we were informed of lightning in the area and everyone was to evacuate. Well worth the price of admission - pick a cloudless day!

“the flip-side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

So, we frequent Smyrna Dunes Park with our dog and have been told we can get in to this park as well with our year pass but have never made the trip until we were invited for labor day.
The facilities are clean and well taken care of. Friends had grabbed a pavilion that was located off the beach in a grassy area so we took up shop in two places both here and on the beach. We did not come with our dog, but a lot of people had.
I found that the beach had less waves than the other side (Smyrna Dunes). What I did not like was the rocky beach area. We had a group of kids with lots of foot injuries. I found myself carefully stepping and still stubbing my toes.
Still a nice place to visit!

“Cranky Staff did not let us in after driving from Orlando”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

We drove here all the way from Orlando, arriving at 5:02pm. The web site stated that they were open until 5:30. We asked to buy tickets to the lighthouse and were told quite coldly that they stopped selling tickets at 5:00. I even promised that we would run up and be back down before 5:30. She coldly replied "No." Needless to say, I do not have good things to say about this attraction.
