The Shoreline Suites is a small family run hotel. The rooms open up outside and you have two chairs outside your door. The windows open up, so in the morning while I was cooking I could open the windows and front door and have the kids play in the grass outside. Everyone was nice, both the guests as well as the staff. The room was as described. The room wasn't as clean as I would like, as far as the deep cleaning is. For example, the bathroom sink was pretty grungy and there was mold in the shower. Overall though it was clean enough. All surface areas as well as the floors were cleaned nicely. It is a great place to stay with kids b/c it is so easy to get out and walk to the beach, no elevators, etc.... I would definitely stay there again and the kids can't wait to go back.

This was a very nice stay. After a slight issue with expedia booking (always call the hotel a day before to ensure they got the booking), everything was smooth and relaxing. The mgmt aims to please and are very accommodating. If you can, rent a beachfront cottage they are awesome. You will have a little cottage approximately 70 m from the beach and 40m from the pool. I believe there are 4 of them. The garden cottages are the next best followed by the row suites. In the cottage you will have a full kitchen with fridge and stove. There are also a few bbqs for all to use. We made some nice meals while we were there and saved a lot of money not eating out. The location on the strip is nice as well close to some decent restaurants and some junk stores. There was a grocery store about a 5 min drive from the hotel. There is laundry on site which is convenient as I find I need to do it a lot when I am at the beach. There is free wireless but it is broadcast from the front desk. I found I couldn't get it from inside the cottages. The cottages are a neat take on accommodation in daytona and there is nothing else in the area that compared. You won't regret your stay here.

My husband and I have been going here since 2003. We have always stayed in an ocean front cottage. I have NEVER seen any type of roach or any kind of bug during our stay. The towels are changed every day and not sure how many times they change your sheets, mop the floors and clean bathroom. The only problem we had was this year. Last year while there we booked for this year, always the same cottage. When we got there they told us that there were people staying in "our" cottage for another week and we would have to take the cottage that was reserved for them. I felt this was very unfair. Frank took the blame, but still did not ease my disappointment. I found out while there that the regulars that book for the following year do not get the same disount offered on their website - 1 free night. You can't beat the view or cleanliness. The outdoor furniture needed to be replaced when we were there - not sure if Frank has any intention of doing so, as he leases the property now.

My son was going to Embry Riddle. So needless to say, my husband and I have stayed here on numerous occasions. We were here even during the hurricanes 3 years ago and Frank the owner was SOOOOOOOOOOO nice. He kept us updated and made us feel at home during this very emotional time (the hurricanes had destroyed most of the business on A1A). Well my son finally graduated this year. I thought it was time to write a review on this amazing place! Let me start by saying it is not the RITZ! Thank god its not!!! However, if you want to feel like your at home this is definately the place for you. It is peaceful, tranquil, serene, quite, comfortable, clean, a place were you can really RELAX! It is very affordable too! There are not many children and if there are they are very well behaved. No wild parties in the room next door (your in your own cabana). We always stay in an ocean front cabana and always leave the door OPEN, windows too! NO BUGS!!! The view of the ocean is breath taking.
This year, given the fact my son was graduating from college, we need some family members to stay with us. Frank was so accommadating. They all had their own cabanas. At the last moment one family member could not make it and he refunded their money with no questions asked! We ALL had a GREAT time. The morning of the graduation I had a breakfast for the rest of the family right outside my door over looking the ocean....it was so beautiful! Now if you want to have elavators, a lot of noise, non friendly atmosphere and a very formal stay then this is not the place for you. If you want to be in a peaceful, friendly, clean, quite place with a great atmosphere then this is the ideal place! My husband and I will still go back for long weekends, just for us, a place where we can just relax and enjoy! Life is to short for all the hustle and bustle...we enjoy relaxing on our vacations!
