I have eaten at the Dancing Avocado Kitchen many times over the years. I work in the downtown Daytona area. The Avocado is a close (but not cheap) spot to get lunch. But usually as a last resort. I am surprised at the glowing reviews for this place because it is consistently mediocre. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly enough but the food is almost always abysmal. There seems to be a serious "we don't care" attitude to cooking and food preparation here. I have been served a salad topped with a nice scoop of ROTTEN guacamole (literally black), and tomatoes so unripe they were rock-hard and white. There just seems to be very little "quality control". Maybe if they cut the prices in half, it would be worth it. Paying $8 for 'nachos' that have been microwaved on a paper plate with some olives thrown on top is not exactly a good deal (or an appetizing snack). About one out of three meals I have had here have been okay, while the others have just been depressing.
