“Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

The location of this hotel was wonderful as it is right on the beach and is close to eating establishments. The room was spacious and clean and we loved the kitchen area and used it daily. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were there for a conference and the conference facilities was very nice and accommodating. The pools and hot tubs were wonderful and the restaurant was very good and had a great selection. Highly recommend this hotel.

Older property with sidewalk in front of door that you walk into the building with. Not too thrilled with that. Room is clean towels and sheets okay but I have an older bad. Could use a renovation. I am happy that is clean. Staff was pleasant at check-in. Here for a conference.assume that many of the properties here are older and maybe this is similar to them. This area is an old, aging city. For $20 more I updated to an ocean view. Can hear the roar of the ocean right in my room. That is heavenly.

Once you make it to your room you open the door and first impression is that it is decent with need of a little facelift. At closer inspection you find a nice kitchenette that has a full fridge, stove, sink, coffee maker, and even plates, glassware, silverware, and pots. I never used more that the fridge but found it nice if I was to be on an extended stay. That is where the “Nice” end. As we looked about our room, we found hair, dirt, and ants all over. We found hair in the bed and in the bathroom. They were very obvious and made us feel like we were not in a clean room. As I found these things I started looking further and found that all the tile grout in the whole bathroom has never been properly cleaned and full of dirt. The carpeted floors needed to be vacuumed and a terminator service was definitely needed as we were combatting ants on all the tables and even in our bed at one stage. The room has a lot of little things that need “Proper” repair and not just a “quick” fix. Out “partial” water view was a one foot deep patio that you can’t really stand on, overlooking the top of the parking garage. You would hope to hear the ocean, but no, you get to hear the loud annoying sound of the exhaust fan from the building that is right bellow you. The lovely final straw of disappointment was the TV system was so basic, there was no in room movies or even room service that we could enjoy. The weather was not so great and we wanted to stay in for the evening, but decided to go out and watch a movie at the theater and give them our money instead. To our delight, the movie theater was cleaner…
All of this is a surprise considering this hotel is supposedly 4 star location. It is far, far, far from that. It is old, run down, and not cared for at all. It is in need of lots of TLC and more care needs to be given to the details. This was supposed to be a short Honeymoon for my wife and I and instead it was a massive disappointment. I can’t even tell my mother about our horrible stay as it was a gift from her and I don’t want to hurt her feelings as she was told this was a great property.

Room Tip: Choose a differently location to stay. If you have no choice, don't choose Partial view rooms, a...

Green Features: They definitely had the environmentally-friendly practices in place, but we did not allow housekeeping back in our room as they did such a bad job the first time

We made a detour to stay the night in Daytona on our way to Orlando. We wanted a indoor pool! Went to Hoilday inn & was sent to DBR! I went to check in expected a standard oceanfront room. We got a suite two queen beds, large bathroom, dining table & efficient kitchenette. I was shocked only $140. There was a large indoor pool & 2 hot tubs. The next morning we were out laying by the pool @8 what a beautiful view! Thank you DBR for ur hospitality & friendly staff!! Very clean & large room

We rented condos 214 and 215 for the week. Both condos were nice and they were clean. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The only negative I can think of is that the hallways look tired. That was one of our first impressions and I was a little worried until we got in to our condos.

The pools and pool deck are very nice.

If you prefer to lounge on the beach, this area of Daytona Beach may not be right for you. The beach is not very deep and there is very little dry sand to hang out on.

I would not hesitate to book here again!

We bought a $129 Groupon for 2 nights which I upgraded to a 2 room suite so the whole thing with taxes on whole deal was right a $190 but that came with 2 drinks and a very nice breakfast for 2 days. the suite was an ocean view with a good view and a balcony and having a suite meant 2 HDTV (so I didn't have to watch "Dancing with the stars" worth $20 to me, the 2 full beds were good, bath room was big and clean as was the whole room, there was a pull out couch in main room and a full small kitchen. Covered parking, nice bar/restaurant 1 indoor and 2 outdoor pools right on the beach, staff was friendly, weight room and a game room. There are 2 parts to the hotel -what looks to be the orig 2-3 floor wing with an open walkway looking out onto the beach and the tower, we asked for the tower. Would stay there again.
