My wife and I are owners at the Westgate in Gatlinburg, TN, and if anyone has been there they know it's great. It is VERY nice. This was my wife and I one year wedding anniversary and we wanted to go to the beach, so we exchanged our week to the Westgate in Daytona Beach. Let me tell you, this place in Daytona is a DUMP. Westgate needs to sell their space there and move out. I'm actually typing this up from the Cocunut Palm Spring resort in New Symrna Beach, just south of Daytona. I called Westgate and complained and they got Interval on the phone, and they moved me down here. The customer service Westgate and Interval provided was great, they were very responsive and willing to make it right. I'll never go back to Westgate Daytona Beach. Not only is the building rough, the whole area around it is rough. Stay away from here, stay away from Daytona all together. Trust me....

Sometimes a review can be pretty helpful to others....I hope this one is helpful , because I'll tell you... The management there is rude and really dosen't want to get up fom her chair to accomodate you. Towels were a NO NO if you needed any. "QUOTE": You'll have to wait till Wednesday...NO one gets new towels till Wednesday!" Now, that may not be rude to some people, but it was a greeting like " NOW what do you want?" in her eyes.
Construction is good. you always need improvements, but by gosh...TELL us before hand! I sat out on my patio and nearly had a broken piece of cement hit me from the roof. Ya, I know, what kinda lunk head would sit under construction workers? Well, i wasn't really near them, they were actually 5 units away. This had to be a stray one.
Housekeeping is terrible. They had their "Cleaning staff" clean our room before we checked in...... I'm just wondering if these people know how to use cleaning fluids and a mop? The floors were terrible and the walls had some kind of food stain on them near the table. I ended up cleaning the floors myself because I couldn't stand the the stickyness and leftover gunk on the floor from the previous tenant.
It's very hard to recommend this place to anyone unles you're looking for just a place to sleep at night and be out of the room all day.
Good luck, but if you stay in Daytona Beach, go down the road a ways and get into one of the 5 star places. You'll be glad you did.

We recently stayed ( family of 5) at Harbour Beach Resort in the month of June. We booked through the front desk( Angela is a gem) and our stay was wonderful.
We recieved daily maid service and had a beautiful ocean front room.The room was very clean and the balcony was great. The pool is one of the largest I've come across, and my children loved it! The beach and pool areas are locked so I didn't feel like I was sharing the pool with a bunch of people off the beach that didn't belong, which happened at another hotel before.
There is also a free park directly next door that had a huge play area and water streams that shoot up from the ground and a volley ball court. My kids loved it and it helped cut down the cost of the vacation and gave us some nice variety. The only downside to this condo/hotel was that we did not have more vacation time!! We will be back soon, Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I made reservations with West gate and when we showed they were over booked and had no room to give us! Then on top of that they took the money out of our bank account anyways even though they were the ones to cancel our stay. So now were in Daytona beach with no place to stay b/c everything was booked and then this place was telling us they didnt take our money until we called the bank to prove it so now we had to wait 3 business days for the money to go back into our account. I will never stay there again and their customer service was terrible.
