We've stayed at the Westgate Daytona 2 times already and are going back in a couple of months..I've been going to Daytona for over 10 years and always stay in suites...we weren't sure what to expect but we took a chance were very pleased..you can't find a better value for your money...you can't find many rooms with a full kitchen, 2 baths and a balcony for a better price..I would and have recommended Westgate Daytona to family and friends
Rented #819 - Top floor, corner unit. Condo-like. Nice clean 1 bedroom king with separate living room & kitchen.
All tiled, and new furnishings. Great view of the beach, strip and board walk. Great pool, great location. Will definately stay again. July 4th was a blast!
My daughter and I just returned from a week at the Harbour Beach Resort (6/26 - 7/03/04) and thoroughly enjoyed it! We rented from an owner and our room had been redecorated, complete with new kitchen appliances and bathroom. The resort is older, but most of the resorts/hotels in Daytona Beach are. The Harbour Beach has a large pool for the size of the resort and it's kept clean, and heated! We enjoyed the fact that the pool is oceanfront also. Overall, a nice place to stay...just rent from an owner!

We rent a private condo. Due to a family emergency we were only able to spend one night of our week along stay. We are planning on going back to Daytona Beach next spring, and renting the same place. The condo was very clean, the decor was nice.
We read positive review for unit 519 and rented it for a week in April 2004. The unit was quite clean and well decorated and provided all the amenities of home. We had a great view of the beach and the Pier. The pool was nice and the facilities for the most part were satisifactory.
...the management at the hotel was a little iffy, but if your independent and can manage on your own, you should do fine. ...Get to the deck chairs early though, or you will be sitting on the deck. Some people sneak down (around 6 am) and put towels on the chairs to "reserve" them....Sneaky...! ..All in all, pick a good clean unit and you will have a blast....
