My husband & I stayed for 4 days in February 2007. Upon first look, the hotel appeared old, but not bad. The room appeared clean and I was satisfied. That evening the "palmetto bugs" started to appear. I'm from the North and we call them "roaches" up here. I saw about 6 of them in 5 minutes time. Gave me the creaps! Didn't sleep well at all that night. We had booked a room for some friends for later that week and I was so embarrassed. The next moring, my husband went down to the front desk to get me coffee and mentioned to the hotel staff that I wasn't too happy about the bugs. They said they would have their exterminator spray the room that day for us. We were out all day and I really dreaded coming back. I saw 2 "palmetto bugs" that night. There is no excuse for bugs by any name being in a hotel room. I know it's Florida, but this is no excuse. The bathtub didn't look like it was cleaned the whole time we were there. The microwave and TV needed a good dose of Windex. Most of the plates were missing but after the 1st night, I didn't want to touch anything in there anyway. The balcony had a great view, but needed to be cleaned. The whole place needed a good pressure wash. Even though the hotel was a joke, the staff was very friendly.

I am looking to return to Daytona Beach next year and have learned a great lesson from this stay...You get what you pay for!!!

I was worried about what I was going to find when I checked in 7-21-06, especially after some of the reviews I read. However when I got there my room was clean and did not smell as a couple reviews stated. I never saw any bugs, and the staff was very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and did not have any problems. You can't go there expecting a room like you would find at the Ritz or Hilton but they are nice and very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was so dirty I was tempted to ask for a refund and sleep in the car. When I went into the main lobby or whatever it was there were flies everywhere. Honestly I didn't even want to touch the door handle leaving. I went up to my room to find the air conditioner broken and the bathroom disgusting. The toilet looked disgusting like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I was scared to go to sleep thinking that something might crawl on me. Thank goodness that I was only there for one night.

Second stay at this hotel. We are orlandoans and travel and stay at the beach alot. Our stay starts in the summer tradition of celebrating Easter at the beach, Which has a Drive In Church and this hotel is only 5 minutes away from the Drive in Church . This weekend starts our once in awhile weekend trips to the beach. This hotel is affordable for us. The staff is very friendly & when we've had to call for something its handled immediatley. Family atmosphere, the guest so far have been very quiet. I would definately recommend this hotel. Our third visit is coming up for memorial day. God Bless our country.
