One checking in we were advised that the heat was not working, but that I wasn't going to be cold that night. When we go to the room I had to clean the deck chairs before setting on them. The hot water took so long to heat I checked with the front desk to see if it was broken also. After 4 hrs. the room was so cold be left and checked into a very very nice hotel for only $5. more and Beaches refused to refund our money. Stay clear of this one.

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights, when we first got to our room, I seriously thought of eating the money that we paid for the room, because I did not want to stay there. The place was filthy! The elevator was scary (only took it the first time..it clunked and I thought it would fall or fail). When we checked in we were given a Oceanfront Suite on the first floor.. it had food left in the sink drain, the 'oceanfront' was after you looked at the parking lot and shuffle board court, it also was right across from the 'clunky' elevator. I went in and complained to Annette (who by the way was extremly helpful and accomodating to get us another room).. we looked at 3 others, one was just filthy, another had bugs crawling on the sink.. finally the fourth room was 'ok'...that is the one we 'settled on" the sink in the bathroom had rust, wallpaper in bathroom peeling, tub dirty. We did not eat in the room.. because it grossed us out! Even the 4th floor balcony (with a decent view) was filthy.. and one of the resin chairs was broken. The TV in the bedroom was antiquated and had a wierd way to get the channels, which by the way did not match the TV channels on the TV in the living area. All in all, we travel alot and have stayed at many hotels, this by far was our worst experience in the 11 years we have been together. We will not be staying here again.. that is for sure!

I was very shocked by the condetion of the room. The carpet was so dirty and wet we had to ware socks all the time. There were wall plates missing, elect outlets lose, wall broken away from the A/C, wallpaper peeling with mold behind it, the bath tub was not clean, paint peeling from the celling. DON'T STAY THERE !!!

I stayed at Beaches last year and it was nice and clean with no problems at all the cleaning staff was wonderful and cleaned the rooms everyday. So this year I decided I would stay again and I wish I hadn't. I learned beaches had been sold to Grand Seas Resorts and was in transsion. For some reason they removed the floor safes from the rooms (which I was unhappy about to say the least) also I was there 7 days and the Ice machine didn't work the entire time but when asking management about it they said it was just probably over worked from the hot day ( well the poor thing never recovered) The sheets were not changed the entire time we stayed there. We were on the second floor but our balcony door would not lock and had the slam it to even get it to close. (I know we were on the second floor but I still didn't like sleeping in a hotel with an unlocked door)
The staff was nice and seemed to be doing all they could with what they had to work with but I won't be staying there again.
