Ok first off this hotel if freaking GROSS. We went for Daytona 500 and we paid $150 a night for this hotel. We got there and there was a couple in the lobby saying they haven't had hot water for a week! So we get up to our room and our room number was written in sharpie marker and there was no locks on the door anyone can just come in. We get inside and there is no remote for the tv its a turn dial.. and the ice bucket looks like a ice cream tub. The cups in the ice bucket were not wrapped up. We went into the bathroom and we turned on our water and it came out orange with piles of dirt.. GROSS.. and then as we let it run to see if we had hot water.. i looked down and there was a hole that was rusted out of the pipe and water was pouring all over the floor. We checked the toliet and there was dry pee all over it and tampon wrappers in the trash can. The sheets had numerous stains on them.. the carpet wasn't even clean. It was a down right rip off we ended up just turning our key in and drove around on the beach for 2 hours until we found another hotel... we are still trying to get our money back!

Beaches Oceanfront Resort is a dump. Contrary to the advertising there is no Restaurant on the premises (We wouldnt have ate there if there was). 5 minutes after arrival I had to kill 2 massive roaches in the room. No coffee maker in the room, no remote for the TV, no fitted sheets on the bed, just a regular sheet thrown over the mattress. Broken lights in the room, carpet appeared to be 20 years old. The continental breakfast consist of coffee and 2 fruit bread loaves hacked at by guests. Loud yelling and screaming from the pool area late at night. Stick with known hotel chains when staying in Daytona Beach. Recommend you stay in Daytona Shores which is just a couple of miles south and much nicer with less derelicts and transients hanging around. When I asked the clerk for a receipt when turning in my room keys he just snorted and advised me "you paid someone else, not us" (I had booked the room through hotel.com)
This place is a low class dive and you should not take your family there.

Nasty, run down dump! Not fit for humans!
False Advertisement! "Under New Management-Right!" People are LIVING in this place!
Made reservations and once we got there and saw the property we didn't want to stay! We were only staying 2 nights. She said since reservations were already made in advance we had to pay for the 1st night!

“Should of gave it a chance first.”

I originally booked a week with Beaches and then read
the reviews and cancelled. I booked it at this great
hotel that supposedly saved me from Beaches. I stayed
at Ocean Pointe Inn 2 nights and then left, even tho I
had to pay race rates. It was horrible. I then went
to Beaches to check it out and see if it was as bad as the
reviews. No it isn't. No it isn't your top of the line hotel.
There are flaws with it, like there are any of them. It's
an older resort that they are trying to fix up. The grounds were are kept very clean. The staff couldn't of been nicer. The rooms are satisfactory. Clean with a good view, but could be updated some. Bigger coffee pots and frigerator would be nice. The bathrooms could
also be fixed up. No, it wasn't the top of the line, but
I have seen worse-Ocean Pointe Inn. If there was something we needed they did whatever they could to
help. I think people should give them a chance. All
the negative feedback has really hurt them. I think as long as people give their feedback to them so they
have a chance to correct the problem. There will be
something wrong with any hotel or resort. The internet seems to glorify them. I would stay there
again if I was in Daytona. Thanks Sal for your help,
Lorena. Keep up with the improvements.

“Buyer Beware! Your worst nightmare!!!”

BEST INNS AND SUITES is now BEACHES RESORT... and I use the term'resort' lightly. Not only was the staff rude... We were told upon check-in on 2-12 04 that the staff was on break... we would have to wait! But the room that we had reserved since 2-26-03, was not available for the same price, the room we were shown was DISGUSTING. You needed a razor blade to scrape the windows to see outside, NO EXAGERATING. In a word it was simply FILTHY. After showing us 2 different rooms at considerably higher prices, and the same condition, we looked elsewhere, and found a room with kitchenette a few blocks down for the same price, in much better condition. I would advise taking a camcorder or camera to use as ammunition for a back up to get your money back if you find yourself in the same sorry situation as we were.

We are sincerely sorry for any past problems that individuals have experienced at Beaches. Beaches is currently under new ownership and is being renovated and updated. The rooms are squeaky clean, our staff is waiting with smiles to assist you and the rates are attractive. During your stay, if anything does not meet your expectations, please contact me or one of my management staff.
