This hotel has to be one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed at. We arrived in our room that was said to be a suite with 2 beds in one room and a third in the other a kitchen very small bath and doors that lead to the interior halls that had no deadbolts. We first noticed all the rust on the fridge and dirt on out floors. I checked the cabinets for our dishes and they were filthy, the silverware was dirty and they said a service for 4 but we had only 3 forks a couple spoons etc. The beds were hard as a rock but the real stunner was when my daughter pulled back her sheets, there was a 4 inch roach in her bed dead. We called the front desk and they just brough down clean sheets for us to change. The sheets even had some blood stains on them. We decided to cut our vacation time down from 8 days to 3 and went back to Orlando. The next day we saw 4 roaches on the walls. No lighting and very unsafe for a family with kids. We did take pictures of all that was wrong. For a beachside hotel this is a real dump that needs tore down. The carpet was coming up and it smelled so bad we had to leave the door open. The second morning the maintenance man came right in without knocking while my daughter was sitting on her bed in a bikini. Stay away from this place because you will be dissapointed.

This place is horrible! My in-laws booked our reservations (couldnt find anything else at the last minute), and it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We got conjoining rooms, and ours had roaches, while theirs had dirty dishes in the cubbard. I also couldnt sleep once a roach crawled on my bed. Our AC was broken, pop machines were empty, elevator sounded like it was ready to die,...When my sis in law complained at desk, they were rude and basically told her to leave if we were not satisfied. Please stay away from this place, it ruined our Daytona visit.

My husband & I stayed for 4 days in February 2007. Upon first look, the hotel appeared old, but not bad. The room appeared clean and I was satisfied. That evening the "palmetto bugs" started to appear. I'm from the North and we call them "roaches" up here. I saw about 6 of them in 5 minutes time. Gave me the creaps! Didn't sleep well at all that night. We had booked a room for some friends for later that week and I was so embarrassed. The next moring, my husband went down to the front desk to get me coffee and mentioned to the hotel staff that I wasn't too happy about the bugs. They said they would have their exterminator spray the room that day for us. We were out all day and I really dreaded coming back. I saw 2 "palmetto bugs" that night. There is no excuse for bugs by any name being in a hotel room. I know it's Florida, but this is no excuse. The bathtub didn't look like it was cleaned the whole time we were there. The microwave and TV needed a good dose of Windex. Most of the plates were missing but after the 1st night, I didn't want to touch anything in there anyway. The balcony had a great view, but needed to be cleaned. The whole place needed a good pressure wash. Even though the hotel was a joke, the staff was very friendly.

I am looking to return to Daytona Beach next year and have learned a great lesson from this stay...You get what you pay for!!!

I was worried about what I was going to find when I checked in 7-21-06, especially after some of the reviews I read. However when I got there my room was clean and did not smell as a couple reviews stated. I never saw any bugs, and the staff was very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and did not have any problems. You can't go there expecting a room like you would find at the Ritz or Hilton but they are nice and very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.
