“Graduation visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Great view and clean beach condo. Value was super and would stay again and again. The amenities were wonderful. We cooked out, close to good restaurants to go out also. It was surprising to see a property that was so well kept so close to the beach. Only negative was the public access. Pool got very busy because of it along with the grills and tables on Memorial Day.

I have been staying at the dolphin beach club for 28 years, and I'm 28... It is a great small place that is surrounded by high rises and I hope it never changes. Very personal. Staff is great! Room is small but who goes on vacation to sit in the room??? Full kitchen with dishwasher. Right on the ocean, large pool and great BBQ area. Location is great! Everything is close by. If your looking for fancy.... This is not your place, But if your looking for a great vacation spot for a great deal, dolphin beach club is where it's at :)

We stay at the Dolphin for the month of February. We go to the Daytona 500 and the location of the hotel from the track is perfect. The view from the room is perfect lay in bed have coffee and watch the Dolphins play right outside your window.

Room Tip: Studio have the best views.

I stayed at the Dolphin Beach Club from Oct. 20th - Oct. 27th, 2012 as an RCI weeks option. The place is really a motel, 3 stories high (with an elevator), L shaped, the studio rooms have a view of the pool and or ocean, the 1 bedrooms do not. We stayed in room 102, it was adequately equipped, TV, iron & ironing board, full (although small) kitchen, full bath (also small), utensils, and toiletries, plus an additional towels and beach towels. The rooms sleeps four with a pull out sofa, but is really only big enough for two comfortably. The bed was so low and uncomfortable that the two of us took turns sleeping on top of the pull out sofa, that was much better. The furniture was a little dated, but it all matched. The best thing about this result is the view, and that it is a 2 minute walk across the pool deck, down the stairs and you are literally on the beach.
The staff was friendly, they have a good selection of movies to check out for free, they also offered coffee and donuts for breakfast, and the pool was clean. Overall the place was clean, quiet, and conveniently located. There's a good selection of grocery stores, restaurants, and entertainment on Atlantic and nearby.

If you are looking for upscale or luxury, you are not going to find it here. The amenties are basic at best, but THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN IS BEAUTIFUL, from the studio rooms. That is what made this stay worth while. Although I can't say that I would stay again at this location, as there are many other resorts along the same street.

Room Tip: Only the studio rooms have an ocean view.

Spent a week at the Dolphin from September 15-22 and it remains as it always has been- a nice place to take your family and feel at home. They have a very good set up with the kitchenette, small family room and small bedroom. The bed was much harder than I remember it from previous trips, but that may be age showing itself in me. They continue to update the rooms with flat screens and wireless. The service worked very well during our stay. We met some very nice people as we always do on our trips here. The gazebo reamins a focal point for the establishment where people gather at the end of the day and share stories of the vacation. This is not a fancy or high star power place. It is very rudimentary and feels a lot like home more than a resort.

We came here on an Interval International exchange. Our sleeps 6 with a full kitchen on the beach with a great view in Maui was no where near a fair exchange. Although the staff is nice and attentive, the beach is great, the pool chairs are plentiful, nothing will make up for being in a dark room facing the side of another building with views of the garbage below. If we had been given an ocean view and balcony, I would have rated this with 5 circles, but if we open blinds/drapes on either side we are just looking at close buildings and everybody walking by can look in. However the rooms that face the ocean and have balconies look to be nice. The exchanges here are for a specific room so make sure you know what you are getting. Rooms 30 - 32, 20 -22, and 10-12 do not have views.

Room Tip: not all rooms have a beach view or balcony - big difference in experience.

Of all the Blue Green properties we have stayed at this was by far the worst. We are owners so we expect better. Old and run down, noisy and seemed like a lot of "old time" condo owners were there. Won't go back. Casa Del Mar was much nicer.
