My wife and I stayed here on our way home and rented a king oceanfront suite with spa. We couldn't sit out on the balcony because of the pigeons. We couldn't leave the door open for fresh air due to the pigeons trying to get in. It was difficult to sleep due to the pipes cracking and popping all night long. I mentioned this on checkout to the front desk and was told that the noise is everywhere throughout the hotel. I must say that the woman at the front desk (Ashley?) was extremely friendly and helpful on check in and check out. She is an asset to this hotel with being friendly, helpful and courteous. I also was under the impression that the pool was heated, but the water was very cold and we didn't use it because of being cold. All in all, I payed for an oceanfront room that had to leave the door shut, a noisey night to sleep and a cold pool. The hotel was very clean though.

We stopped in Daytona on our way to visit family and it turned out to be my best stay in a hotel in some time. The hotel was clean, asthetically pleasing with very friendly staff and a manager that obviously puts his guests first. I would stay again in a minute.

We stayed for three nights in late December 2012, reserved a king room ocean-side upper floor. The view alone made it all worthwhile but everything else was terrific. Everything was new and clean. Nice TV. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Didn’t try the restaurant except for sandwiches by the pool - tasty and good value. Would definitely come back again. One concern - there is not much on-site parking. If you arrive late you’ll have to park in the lot across a very wide and very busy street.

Took a quick trip to Daytona Beach, I should have read the reviews here first about room 600. I reserved a King Ocean view with spa, that is what I got, what they fail to tell you is you cannot use your balcony much or sleep much.
First the balcony- it is home to many pigeons, it is their home, morning and night. Do not try to make them leave they only come back.When they are not making pigeon nosies--which knows no time, they are doing other things pigeons do. Therefore you cannot sit out there or leave the balcony door open.
Second, this room is at the end of the hall next to the building's air handler, and of course everytime it cuts on you hear it ALL night !

Good points;
Spa was good, clean plenty of hot water.
Room was spotless and smelled ok.
Restaurant has a great early bird special, service was outstanding and wait staff very friendly.
Front desk staff was very friendly also.
View was great from inside.

So in closing , if offered room 600, decline and take another one.
