“I wouldn't let my dog stay here”

Considering this hotel only had 2 stars on priceline , the pictures looked like it was a somewhat nice place to stay. Well the pictures were VERY deciving. After checking in and walking down the Twilight Zone hallway, I was mortified when I opened the door to the room. There were nasty black and red stains all over the carpet, the room stunk very badly, nasty stains and marks on the walls, gum stuck on the headboard, something very unsanitary was smeared on the side of the sink, the closet door could not be closed because the bed was in the way, the comforter was VERY stained and nasty. I would not walk on the floor in bare feet let alone set my bags down. In just a few minutes we decided we could not stay here. The front desk clerk did not seem surprised at all when we complained and said we would not stay. They did refund the parking fee and room safe fee. Priceline refunded the full amount we paid. We were so upset about the whole experience that we packed the car and came home after spending a total of 20 minutes there. This place was so bad that if I brought my dog, I would not have let her lay on the floor.

Let me start off by saying that pictures can be misleading. I booked this hotel because it was located on the beach and the pictures looked nice. When my fiance and I got there, we were a little apprehensive. The staff was excellent, but the hotel definately needed work. The hallways reminded me of something out of a horror film. When we got to the room, the room smelled damp, the coffee maker didn't have a lid so we couldn't brew the coffee, and the water faucet in the bathtub stayed running while the showerhead was on. I don't believe room service ever made it to our room because we were there from July 3rd thru the 5th, and we had the same towels the whole time we were there and the bed never got made. I would only suggest this hotel to someone who is looking for something cheap with beach access. I probably won't be staying here again.

“The worst hotel in the world”

This is the worst hotel in the world. If you used a website to book this hotel you better get on the phone and beg them to refund your money. To sum it up in a few words, BUGS, DIRT, DIRTY BEDS, SMELL, and no parking.

Got to room wasn't even cleaned from guests before. Talked to the hotel staff (which was busy on their cell phone of course) said there was nothing they could do, the maid was on vacation.

Bugs in bed, also crawling all over floor.

Room smelled like vomit, carpet was staind all over so maybe it really was vomit.

hotel has about 100 rooms, and about 30 parking spaces so do the math.

pool was dirty with a sign that said swim at your own risk.

There are fleabag motels, and then there is this place.

This is the worst hotel ever!

“stay somewhere else”

Ok ,it's cheap! Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you are nicely surprised. Right? Here you will get neither. It is absolutely awful! I have never been to a hotel before in all my travels that I was actually disgusted by all aspects . They also failed to reedem themsleves in my eyes. ( I don't think they care personally)

Ok here is what our one night stay consisted of

*We got there a little early and were refused early check in even though the room was ready. (That has never happen anywhere to me before)
* The room was dirty and broken down in many places. Bathroom door broken. beds, and floor slanted, linens dirty, curtains dirty. I know beach hotels are hard to upkeep, but please!. We have stayed in other places on Daytona Beach that were not this dirty or gross.
* There is an all night party pizza place across the street. You are also close to a heavy party plaza area. People park in the motel parking lot and walk.So very noisy!!!!!! Noisy would not even close to cover the experience we had here. There was a drug sale in the parking lot at 1am and so on all night! Disaster and no sleep for us! We were awake all night. There was nonstop laughter, screaming and people running naked through the parking lot until 6 am when we finally got up tp leave.
* The pool is dirty and unkept.
*The staff are so rude and unfriendly they must hate their jobs!
*My mom left her pillows here. She brings extra pillows when she goes places.I contacted the place several times to see if I could get them back and they refused to even call me back or answer any of my correspondance. They also refused to address any issues we had during our stay.

I ocnclude they only want your money and do not care about their guests at all. Party place. Really do not stay here. Even though it is cheap you can find a better place for the same price. Shop around and try Ormand beach down the street.

The Good

Hotel location is perfect! Located on A1A in the heart of Daytona Beach amentities and attractions. Located directly on the beach, so beach access is free and convenient. Low rate cost of room. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

The Bad

This is an old motel. It has not been updated, in my guess, 20-25 years. Everything from entry doors (ours didn't open/close properly), carpeting, bedding, furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc is obviously very old and none of it matches in decor. They have, however, repainted the exterior, which looks presentable. It's old to the point of looking very dated and kind of gross inside though. We wanted to sleep hovering above the covers, to say the least. Carpeting was very worn and dirty looking. Upon check-in, there were noticeable food crumbs on the floor. The dresser had sticky coffee rings on the top. The lighting was insufficient in the room itself. One tiny lamp between the beds with an improperly sized lampshade. The beds were not properly made. They simply draped the sheets over the matresses, rather than tucking them in as they should and do at all respectable motels. Bathroom was disgusting. Hair on the counter and in shower. Shampoo bottle cap left in shower from previous vacationer. Mold/mildew growing on bathroom ceiling. Toothpaste on bathroom sink counter. Unexcusably disgusting house keeping overall. We kept our shoes on inside the room to keep our feet clean. The coffee maker did not work., although the kitchenette was an uexpected surprise. It was rather gross too though.

The first morning of our visit, there was no hot water for our showers. After talking to front desk, apparently the pilot-light on the boiler had gone out. We were told this happens there a lot because of the boiler being located where rain water floods it. Whenever it rains hard, it floods the boiler and blows the pilot-light out. Excpect a cold shower if it rains during your stay.

Motel parking is a joke. The parking spaces are insanely tight. No one seems to try parking straight because it's so difficult to manuever in the SMALL parking lot. Don't be surprised if you can't park in the lot because so many people are taking up 2 spaces. Being charged $3 a day parking fee for this is almost offensive. The pool deck was an absolute joke compared to the pictures shown on other cheap travel website. Lounging chairs and tables with umbrellas were not nicely set up as in the pictures. Chairs were strewn about. No umbrella tables seen. Sand covered the pool deck in a wet, muddy fashion. Looked just as nasty as our hotel room. The pics are so decieving they should be sued for false advertising. Our room looked absolutely nothing like the one pictured. I would say only about 1/3 of the rooms face the ocean. The rest face the neighboring buildings, which are just as old and nasty looking.

Really, if they renovated this hotel top to bottom, inside and out, it would be fabulous. The location is excellent and we were very pleased with that aspect. In it's current state, it's a total dive. I would have given this place 1 star, but the location and easy beach access made me bump it up to 2 stars.
