The Conch House is disgusting.
Don't get me wrong, the staff was great. They were polite and extremely helpful. I have no qualms with the people working there.
BUT.....
They always say you get what you pay for, but I think this was going overboard. I had "complimentary" sunflower seed shells and dried out pepperoni on the floor and hair in between the sheets. There were stains all over the place; on the floor, the bedspread, the shower.. everywhere. I was in the military, I stayed in some pretty bad dorm rooms when I was in Korea. I would have LOVED to have stayed in one of those.
The hotel looked like it needed about 20 guys with pressure washers to make a run-through. The corporation which owns the hotel offered an upgrade to a better hotel (they own 30+ hotels in Daytona), which I took, but I don't understand why they would allow a hotel to fall into such disrepair when they own so many better hotels. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to ANYONE.
