I took my two children, ages 6 and 3, to this water park for a half-day. I was so happy with our experience! The park is relatively small compared to the Orlando area water parks, but there were plenty of rides and I found the size manageable for a mom alone with two small kids. The lifeguards were very attentive and focused. Lifeguards could be found at every turn of the lazy river, at least 4 were attending to the wave pool, 3 or 4 on the kiddie area, and all were making noticeable visual scans of the pool areas on a routine basis. The wind was heavy that day and a preteen-age girl on a tube got blown towards the deep end of the wave pool. The girl wasn't in any danger but a lifeguard didn't hesitate to jump in assist her! Great job. The park is very clean and attention to detail has been taken in keeping the pool areas spotless. We didn't go in the arcade. We did purchase lunch at the water park and it was mediocre and slow, I'd recommend eating before entering. If you are looking for a fancy, themed, large water park, Daytona Lagoon is not that - head to Orlando. However if you are looking for value and a fun experience in Volusia, you will be happy at Daytona Lagoon.
