My family and I stayed here June 12-15th, 2008. My husband, 2 teenage sons (13 & 14) and myself. We had an oceanview suite.
The room was clean and updated nicely. It had a separate bedroom area with a chair, dresser & closet. The adjacent setting area had a pull out queen bed, small table to sit 4 people, and small Kitchenette. The kitchenette had a small sink, small fridge,a convection oven and place seetings for 4 along with a lot of extra storage cabinets for snacks & food etc...The bathroom was nice size with room for a couple of people to get ready at the same time. The balcony was big enough for all 4 of us to be on at the same time without being directly on top of each other. We had views of the beach and the pool eck area.
The pool is one big rectangle. It goes from 3 ft to 10ft. My teenage boys loved that. It was always very refreshing to go into after being in the ocean.
There is a pooldeck eating area that serves food and burgers etc...we ate there once. Food was not bad, but was adeqate for what you'd expect.
The resort Spa...had a pedicure and a couples massage. Our experience there was great. Great staff and well worth your time and money.
Previously we had stayed at the OceanWalk. It was " a timeshare condo experience". Full size kitchen with washer and dryer etc...Same room size as we were in at the Plaza at almost twice the money per night.
This trip we also spent 3 nights just down the street at the Hilton...although it was about $30 a night less than the Plaza, I'd have preferred the Plaza. Much nicer rooms and beach area.

I llive about an hour and half from Daytona so I have tried many hotels. My boyfriend choose this hotel for the price and loved it! The view was awesome and the layout was cute. We have never stayed any where else since. And I never plan to. When we go to the beach we want a nice place to look out at the beach, drink and relax. If this is what you are looking for this is the place for you.

I stayed four days with my 19 year old daughter and her friend. We thought the rooms were decorated nice and were clean. The bathroom tile had been painted and was peeling in some areas but it is seperate from the vanity area and we showered so it wasn't a big issue for us. Loved the fact that the vanity area was big enough for all three of us to get ready at the same time. Could have used some more plug ins in the bathroom area though. We liked the view we had as we could see both the ocean and the strip. The pool area was nice and there were beach towels available every day. Plenty of room to lay out with bar access for daily drink specials. Kiddie pool available for the little ones. Short walk to the beach where you can rent cabanas. Parasailing and rentals very close by. We walked to the Shoppes everynight for dinner and shopping and felt safe even though it was darker than normal because of the turtles nesting. Parking could be a problem if you got back after 9:00 p.m. but additional parking is right across the street for hotel guests only. We also had use of the sister hotel which was an added plus. Overall I would recommend staying here. Never experienced any terrible negatives that would prevent me from going back there.

This hotel was excellent. The room was fantastic. The view of the ocean was beautiful. My family loved it. The staff was great and almost everything is in walking distance from the hotel. I would very much reccomend this hotel for anybody who likes to have lots of fun!
