“Once is enough”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

The tour is a little pricey for no more than there is to see. Also the museum is closed which takes away a lot from the attraction

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We came here with our 5 year old son and 6 week old daughter. We took part in their short tour and wished we had have booked a longer tour. the tour was informative and extremely interesting, we were also "treated" to a little incident whilst there, a time trial was being held and we got to see the car speed past, but seconds later it caught fire, although interesting and exciting for our son it was a little scary seeing the fire engines rush around the track.
We were taken into different sections of the track and those rarely seen by others. It was a really fun way to spend the afternoon. if returning i think we shall take the longer tour.
The speedway is well worth a visit.

“Rolex 24...What Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Not really race goers but had the opportunity to go to the Rolex 24 and had a ball. The raceway is enourmous and plenty of venues to keep you occupied for several days.

“Incredible and complex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

My husband and I attended the Rolex 24 race at Daytona on Saturday 1/26/2013. Although we'd taken a short tour of the speedway a week earlier and I'd poured over the web site, nothing prepares you for the size of that operation, and the ground you need to cover to see everything--from the grandstand to the Fanzone area on the massive infield, to the carnival, to the large vendor and demo area, all on the infield as well.

It's important to know that if you are ambling around the infield taking in the sights and want to be in the grandstand for the start of the race, get yourself to the tram stop on the fringe of the Fanzone at least 45 minutes before start time! I underestimated how long it would take to get back to the grandstand and we just missed the start of the race, especially since the tram--SURPRISE--drops you off OUTSIDE of the speedway and you have to re-enter at Gate 22 (have that ticket handy) and find your way back into the grandstand area you wanted to be in. A real waste of time & shoe leather.

The best sensation, though, comes as you move along the walkway that circles the outside of the track (in the grandstand), right next to, and just above, the racing cars as they scream by. Incredible. Be sure to bring your earplugs!

We bought garage passes ($35 ea.) in addition to our tickets, and it was a thrill to be able to walk around the garage area before the race, see the mechanics at work, and get up close to the cars.
