We are a married couple (40s & 50s) who live about 3 minutes from Ally's. Occasionally, we take my 20 year old stepson with us. We've eaten here about 10 different times over the last 2-3 years (always on a Saturday or Sunday) and typically between the hours of 10am & 12pm.
Wait time: We normally always wait 10 minutes for a seat and sometimes have waited around 30 minutes. For us, we don't mind since we enjoy the food so much. Give Judy your name, she'll add it to the list and come outside and get you when a table is available.
Cafe: Its small and tight but that doesn't bother us. We go there for the food.
Service: We've never had any issues with service and have had a variety of servers wait on us. They take our orders accurately and bring our food when its 'up' (meaning I've never had food that I felt was sitting around getting cold). Is the staff 'the best'? I would say no, but we've never had any issues with Judy or any of the servers and have been there many times.
Drinks: I don't drink non flavored coffee (so I always bring my own travel mug of coffee) but my husband gets coffee here and that is truly the only thing that we would offer as a recommended improvement. He says the coffee isn't that good (but he drinks it anyway). Once I did order a glass of juice and it was served warm with no ice in a very small glass (for a price I felt was too high) so I just don't order juice there anymore.
Food: AMAZING - this is why we keep coming back. We only order breakfast food so I can't comment on any of their lunch/sandwich items. I also can't possibly list all of the breakfast items we ordered in this review. I can tell you that we have ordered lots of specials from there 'board', lots of different omelets and lots of various pancake flavors and for me personally, their pancakes ROCK. The only flavor that I've ordered that I did not like was the one that had peach pie filling in it. My favorites are the blueberry, choc chip, red velvet cake and the cinnamon bun. OMG, the cinnamon bun pancakes are out of this world. My husband loves their home fries and their sausages.
Just writing this review, it making my hungry. We might have to stop by this weekend!
