“Great week!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

This was our first family trip to Disney and we stayed at here at Regal Palms the first week of March, we too booked through Simon. Our trip got off on the wrong foot as Simon had us checked in on the wrong day, this meant that we had to wait 35+ minutes to check in. After a long flight & drive to get here this is not what I wanted to go through. However Simon did take care off us & made every attempt to ensure that our vacation was a good one. We stayed at unit 328 Verona Ave & we liked the unit very much. It was clean, spacious & lot's of room for our family of four. My kids really enjoyed the water park and the slide. The lazy river was a lot of fun for them too! So when we weren't at the parks we stayed and played at the Water park, which was time well spent. It was a short drive to the parks and had a grocery store and some restaurants within easy walking distance (Mia's pizza was super!!) We would stay here again.

Everything was just perfect !! Simon's quick feedback to any of my questions was great ! I stayed at the 4 bedroom condo and we all just loved the place. Great location for any of the parks, Walmart and My Dunkin Donuts were right down the street ! I will be back next year !! Thanks you SImon and Regal Palms ! I stayed at Regal plams in a 3 bedroom about 5 years ago as well. Great place for kids and adults !

We just got back from our vacation to Florida. Six of us stayed in a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom unit, expecting it to be cheaper than a hotel. It wasn't worth it. All of the furniture was very cheap, so the beds were all very uncomfortable - you could feel every spring in the mattresses. The dresser was broken, the microwave didn't work, the water heater is set at a very low temperature so one luke warm shower can be taken every hour or so. There is a washer/dryer but it takes 3 hours to do one load and they don't provide laundry soap. Two of the bedrooms had single beds that you can't even push together because the headboards are too wide. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. I slept upstairs and the room below me had their fan on, it sounded like a dryer banging against the wall all night. Don't bother calling the staff when every college baseball team in Florida (Spring Training...apparently) is yelling in the streets at midnight, they don't care. In fact all of the staff we encountered were smug and rude. Especially at the pool. The unit wasn't clean or comfortable. The TV had very basic cable and was from the early 90's. I highly doubt the comforters get washed because they were covered in many different colors of (human) hair, along with the couches in the living room. I had to put a pot underneath the AC vent in the living room because water poured from the ceiling when someone took a shower upstairs. Not a dribble, a slow stream. They provide 2 pans, 2 pots, a toaster and a coffee maker. Don't count on spatulas, etc. because ours was melted and dirty. We actually bought another one at the store. There is a "new breakfast restaurant on site", but it is basically a Chuck E Cheese with a pirate theme. Not for adults. I wish I would've stayed elsewhere.

Room Tip: We hear that the quality/cleanliness of your unit depends on it's management. Not sure who manag...

First off, we booked through Simon online, which was painless and he was great to work with. He owns a few apartments but also does the booking for a few other owners as well.

The house was in good shape, there were a few areas that needed to be fixed but it didn't impede on our vacation at all, for example a blind fell off the livingroom entrance, but it didn't bother us, we let simon know just incase, and a maintenance guy showed up the next morning. Linens were provided, each garbage has one bag and you have to provide any others after that. Which is fair, we went to the Walmart close by and purchased regular household item for cheap that we needed.

The pool was amazing, we didn't get to spend as much time in it as we wanted but we definitely plan on going back. The resort staff is great, if you buy an inflatable, the pool entrance attendant will inflate it for you. We found this out after we were blew ours up. Towels are provided at the pool which is awesome. We didn't try out the bar or spa services.

The only issue we had was the ceramic floors feeling grimy, after waking around barefoot, the bottoms on your feet would be black, so I would suggest brining slippers. The carpeted area upstairs was fine, there was some stains on the stairs heading up, but it still felt clean on our feet.

I would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Book through Simon. Make sure you are close to the club house, they have hundreds of condos, so yo...

We stayed at 120 Napoli, a 4 bed 3 bath home. The location was far from the clubhouse, but the street was quiet.
Pros- The resort was gated, the reservation desk was top notch. The Tiki Bar/Restaurant was good food, good value. The spa was very clean and had nice staff and great priced specials. The pool, lazy river and slide were even nicer than the pictures. Pool temperature was warm. The house was a good size, lots of space. Close to grocery store, restaurant drug store, there was a 24hr Wal-Mart just down the road.
Cons- The house was dirty! The carpet felt awful, I tried to vacuum it, but the vacuum had no suction, probably why the carpet was so gross. There was stuff splattered on a lot of the walls (kitchen back splash, master bath door & under the vanity counter, on the blinds), there was mold in all 3 showers. Grime on all the baseboards, windows. Had to pay a cleaning fee and resort fee. Not as quick to Disney or the airport as advertised.

Room Tip: Find out where the house is in relation to the club house, if you want to use the pool alot. Researc...

Just returning from Florida tonight and I wanted to write the review before I forget anything. We were 90% happy with the resort. The pool area, slide and lazy river were just awesome we had such a good time and we will be returning to the resort. We did have a few issues. The townhouse was a little outdated but suited our needs just fine, very comfortable. However, the kitchen was NOT well equipped to feed a family of five. It needed cooking utensils badly! In speaking with other guests they did have all the comforts of home so I guess you need to know what unit you are renting and try to find reviews on that one. We rented #338 which was very convenient to the pool area. We had not working electrical outlets in the baths in our unit and reported it early in the week. Had maintenance come out and he said he would have someone there the next day and no one ever showed up. We just lived without it. We did not have enough towels, no extra toilet paper, soaps or such is provided so you need to bring it with you or hit the Publix which is within walking distance from the office. We really did enjoy it there and would like to purchase a town house we just had some reservations about the management. There is a garden right before the spa entrance and when we arrived there were two beers cans in it and when we left those two cans were still there..and this morning another Bud Light bottle was lying on the floor of the upper deck area near the pool. The maintenance fees for the owners is $275/month and they have to pay for resort fees in addition which they dbl dip and charge the guests as well. I was disappointed when leaving this morning and informing the woman at the desk that our electricity was never attended to she just looked at me!! Not any accommodation at all, or even a Oh I am so sorry sir! nothing..nada..

Loved the tiki bar there and the Jerk wings are a must!!! limited on drinks though I really wanted a naughty tea or a mojito and they could not provide either basically just tropical drinks, beer etc..and they are only $4.00 or so each so..not bad..Get out early and pick your spot at the pool and lay out towels before 9 or 10:00 a.m. for a good spot. If you have kids you will love it, my daughter mad about ten friends this week and we all had a ball despite not having hair dryer with four girls!! :-) And only five towels!
