My family and I just left Regal Palms. I must first say that we had a great time. We (11 in all incliding 4 chlidren) stayed in a 4-bedroom townhome in La Meridian (great location) which is close to the clubhouse where the pool, spa, store, etc are located.staff is very helpful and courteous. Shouts out to Jesus (front desk), Tara (front desk), John (guest relations), and Vivian (guest relations). The pool is fabulous, w/ a slide and lazy river, zero depth entry on one side. The jacuzzi in the fitness center was nice although I never used it. The resort is close to Disney and the other parks, but without the "tourists". Its quiet, so you can actually relax after a long day of walking the parks, shopping, etc. We will definetely be back again!!!!

Just got back with a group of golfers. stayed here for the first time and booked 2 - 3 bedroom condo's. Condo's were very clean and well kept although the downstairs living spaces seemed a little small. Very minimal incidentals in the units - better bring extra paper goods, garbage bags etc. Also, bring alarm clocks as the units have none except the time on the stove.

Main lobby and pool complex resembles a resort. Decent restaurant size and a small bar area. Very friendly staff up there. Pool, hot tubs etc open sun up til sun down... not long enough.

Condo area is spread out and resembles a sprawling suburban neighborhood - not a resort. Our condo's were not adjacent, not even close, and not within a short walk of the main lobby area.

All in all, a good value and very clean. Golf course across the street is Highland Reserve. Not affiliated with resort but nice golf complex with friendly staff.

Resort is close to Publix, Applebees and several neighborhood bars. Applebees among nicest I've seen and I travel weekly! Good food and drink specials.

Whole neighborhood around there seems to be some "Brittish Colony" with Brits seemingly everywhere. Small pub next to Publix played nothing but Soccer on Tube and Elton John on the juke box - enough !!!!!!

  • Liked — Cleanliness
  • Disliked — Condo's too spread out for a group.

We booked through a private owner. We were a family of six that stayed in a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath townhome on the street called Verona that overlooked the pool. Make sure you ask for a home near the pool. It was great to be within walking distance. The pool complex is fantasitic. The unit and accomadations were great.

We stayed in a pool home at the Regal Palms in January 2008, we are a family of seven including my elderly Mother-in-law. Unfortunately our pool heat was broken and despite 15 trips to reception and numerous visits by maintenance it was never fixed.
Staff at reception were unhelpful and seemed incapable of solving our problem.
We eventually gave up asking them to fix it as we grew tired of the excuses and broken promises and used the pool in the complex. We recieved a refund for the pool heat which we had pre-paid but that we would gladly have paid for a warm pool.
The same thing had happened us the year before but we had booked through hotelbeds.com and they fixed our pool heat after a couple of days.
I can't understand such poor customer service in what must be a highly competitive market at the moment in Orlando.
It's a shame because in other ways it's a nice place.

  • Liked — It was nice and quiet around the pool homes
  • Disliked — Poor customer service

three families shared a 5 bedroom house this past june.6 adults and 4 kids. the house was beautiful, spacious and clean.the pool/hot tub was wonderful after a day at the parks, and it serves very well after the resort pool closes.publix and walmart are both very close.we bought most of our food and saved a lot of money. i had done my research so i knew about supplying my own paper goods and other neccessities(sp).after splitting the cost of the house and groceries, we spent less on accomadations than our entrance to disney. if you go to universal website you can get multiday passess for real cheap.great vacation, we are returning next june. only bad thing i can think of was the behavior of some of the other guests at the pool and the grill we rented was not usable. great place,
