“Nice hotel good for a layover but avoid Bob.”

My friend and I booked a last minute cruise out of Fort Lauderdale and were having trouble finding a reasonably priced place to stay. We managed to get this hotel for a great price on priceline.

It had a free shuttle to pick us up from the aiport and the check in/out process was smooth and pleasant. The view from the room was of the parking lot and airport but there was no sound issues.

The room itself was clean, some water damage spots on the ceiling. There were big heavy duvets for the beds and two big chairs to sit in so we didn't have to always sit on the bed. The free in room coffee was good and there was plenty of space for all our shopping....er luggage.

The location was very convienient and close for airport connections and just a few minutes away from the cruise port. Not walking distance though. Of importance to note is that there is nothing near this hotel except a hilton across the street. The restaurant has decent fare. The hotel staff are very pleasant and friendly.

If you are planning on hanging around Fort Lauderdale for a couple of days and are planning on using taxi's it will become very expensive. If you ask the hotel valets for a taxi they will bring a guy named Bob over in his Black sedan. To drive us 14 miles to Sawgrass mills outlet mall the cost was 37 dollars. It would have been less expensive to rent a car for the day.

Bob also charges $10 per person to go to the cruise port and he is very pushy...he asks for your cell numbers, your hotel room numbers...none of which we volunteered this time. My friend had given Bob her number on a previous trip and he left repeated messages.

Overall a very convenient hotel for layovers, good service and pleasant staff.

“Nightmare!”

This place is a nightmare. When I checked in at midnight the hotel had no water due to a broken boiler. When I expressed my concern I was told I could go elsewhere without penalty. When I asked about nearby hotels I was told they were all sold out! So, I was given 1 bottle of water for my needs! The room smelled horrible and the AC never cooled the room down. There was loud banging for hours from work on the boiler. When the water was finally turned back on around 2:00 am the noise was horrible for at least an hour! I had ordered breakfast using the door knob menu. It came 30 minutes late and was not what I had ordered. I refused to accept it or to pay for it. The room service guy did not understand English and simply left it in the room. When I checked out I talked with the manager who knocked $100 off the room rate....which was $269 a night. What a rip-off this place is.

Having stayed at hotels in the Lauderdale area before, we were pleasantly surprised with this one. The Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport hotel was clean, decorated beautifully. Great rooms with nice amenities. Room service was great, the breakfast was a beautiful spread of fresh fruit and coffee delivered promptly to our door at the requested time. We travel with 2 small dogs and this is an animal friendly hotel. We enjoyed our 1 night stay very much and would recommend it to anyone. So many times you only hear about what went wrong , so that is why I wanted to say what went right. Thank you.

“Great for our short stay”

We arrived too late, due to lost luggage, to really appreciate all this hotel had to offer. Being hotel members, we had special access and package deals, including complimentary breakfast, etc., but were leaving too early to enjoy. Shuttle was prompt and the driver was friendly.

Staff was excellent. Room service was great. Beds were awesome. Had a great view of the pool, which was closed, so kids couldn't enjoy.

All-in-all, a great hotel to end our trip.

“Comfortable by the Airport”

We decide to stay in this hotel due to proximity to the FLL airpot which is only 5 minutes away and (free) interent access.
Front desk ladies were very pleasant, friendly and helpful at C/I!
Room was comfortable, nice big windows, which unfortunately didn't open. Bed comfortable. If you need place to stay close to FLL, this is the one.
