I recommend this hotel for it's use of common space...a beautiful, large lobby unlike alot of hotels. We also were able to be accomodated in our room post-cruise early, about 10:30am which was a welsome relief...thanks Courtyard!
The location of the hotel was a bit hard for us as there wasn't much in the way to do there. We walked over to the Pro Bass SHop (boy, were my teeneage daughters unhappy about that!) and looked around a bit to kill time.
The pool was nice, clean and had a hot tub. Nice to soak up a few last sunshine rays before heading home to snow.
I would pick a hotel with transportation from the cruiseport at disembarkation (not provided here) as the taxi ride was about $30 and the lines long after getting off the ship. Not a relaxing way to end the cruise...especially in a rain shower and everyone lost their sense of decorum in scrambling for a taxi.
We were not aware of the breakfast costs...it was only after having eaten and presented a bill that we realized the breakfast was not included...our bad. Oh well, we all had a good laugh.
The beds were a bit soft for us...just a personal opinion. NOt as nice as the Hyatt Grand beds.
I would pick this hotel for precruise rather than postcruise for transportation reasons.
Our dinner at the Islamadora Seafood COmpany was outstanding and we felt fortunate it was next door.
