Great hotel to stay in pre-cruise, wide variety of food available for the continental breakfast. My husband was pleased with the stay, and he can be hard to please at times! Priced competitively with other hotels in the area. Walgreens next door, Publix across the street. Close to airport and Port Everglades. Shuttle available, but we did not use it as we drove in. All areas were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I went to Hollywood, FL on a short business trip. There was no vacancy at the at the Seminole Hard Rock, where our conference was held. So I called around and found this place. It was 15 minutes away from the conference. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. The shower was decent.

Troubles are to be expected at a bargain rate hotel, and the Sleep Inn had its share. My "cable" TV reception was bad -- real bad. The internet speed was no better. Intermittent network problems (perhaps an old, faulty network cable) made the Internet unusable. And while the room posted a non-smoking sign, there was a faint smell of stale tobacco, as if the previous guest smoked anyway.

All in all, I'm not complaining. I got what I paid for.

Arrived 7 hrs late because of flight problems and the MANAGER would do nothing to get us from the airport to the hotel. He said that the shuttle stopped at 11pm. BUT it was only 11:05 when we called. He continued to fight with us when we arrived at the hotel. He also never apologized for the inconveinence. Never once smiled and was one of the rudest people I have ever met. I will NEVER go to that hotel ever again. Room was great, but its about other things besides the room that makes a trip great. This one was not great!

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for one night to be close to the Ft Lauderdale airport for an early flight the next morning. The hotel is in a nice area, there is a Walgreens Drug Store right next door and a shopping center across the street with a grocery store and some restaurants. We were dropped off at the hotel so had no vehicle to use. We walked right across the street to an Italian Restaurant in the shopping center called Villa Jo Jo. The food was generous and delicious! We felt safe walking in the area which seemed to be fairly new. We saw a Mexican restaurant a few doors down also that looked nice. The location was perfect in case you forgot to bring something and needed to be close to stores. Our room was clean and large enough. The bathroom was large and we had great water pressure in the shower. (important to me). The hotel has a shuttle to the airport but it does not start until 6am and since we wanted to leave the hotel earlier, they did arrange for a taxi to come the next morning at 5am as we requested and cost about $14.00 for the ride. The only down side was that my daughter wanted to watch a movie that night and movies are rented in the room by using a card swiper device near the television. The one in our room was missing and when I called down to the front desk, the gentleman said he would come up in a couple of minutes to see what he could do. 40 minutes passed and no one came up so I called to tell them to never mind since it was getting to late to start a 2hr movie anyway. They did offer to change our rooms but I declined. We left too early to check out the breakfast so I can not comment on that. It only took us about a 10 minute taxi ride to the airport from the hotel. My daughter and I were very pleased with the hotel in general. We had never stayed at a Sleep Inn before and really didnt know what to expect. It turned out to be much nicer than we thought it might be. I would stay again for a short stay.
