“Fine for airport stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Hotel was clean and airport shuttle was convenient. Not much to do in area, but for an early flight this place was clean and staff was friendly. Our flight left before breakfast opened, but they allowed us to pick up some yogurt and coffee to take with us. Our room had a small sitting area with a TV to use after putting the kids to sleep.

Stayed at this hotel for the first time early December 2012. Good location near airport or cruise port. Lots of free parking. Visable security in parking lot. Everything clean, bedding comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection. They had microwavable Jimmy Dean Sandwiches.

We stayed here for two nights before our cruise. The hotel was fairly new. As such, it was clean and didn't have any smell. The shuttle service to the airport was good. It ran every hour on the hour. We didn't have to call when we arrived at the airport. We just headed out towards the Hotel Shuttle waiting area and waited for the shuttle bus with the Fairfield logo. The hotel was located close to the airport. There was nothing for you to see or buy anything. We took the hotel bus service to Sawgrass mall for $70 return trip. That's almost about what you can do in Fort Lauderdale if you don't drive your car.

If you are going to the port for your cruise ship, you may as well call a taxi and is faster than taking the hotel shuttle. The hotel shuttle costs you $8 per person and you have more hassle to deal with as you have to make sure your luggage is actually loaded on to the bus and then the bus will go to different cruise terminal.

One good thing is that the hotel provides complimentary breakfast, even though the breakfast is a very simple one. You will have sandwiches, drink, muffins, cereal, toast and fruits. Don't expect much from the breakfast.

One drawback for people who have back pain problem. The bed is too soft,

We have always stayed at this hotel when we are going out of Ft Lauderdale and recently stayed November 25th. It's still a clean hotel, free breakfast and a bargin for it's location. Parking at the hotel is free for unlimited time. There is a transportation service located in the lobby of the hotel. They can carry you to Ft Lauderdale or Miami cruise ports with a charge. We have stayed here and did the service to Miami, it was cheaper than finding a hotel there and paying for cruise port parking. Buy the round trip ticket.

Room Tip: Ask for front side of hotel

Called the Hotel upon arriving at Fort Lauderdale Airport, was told Van to arrive in 15 min. Finally showed up in 30 minutes. No problem, was glad to be not on an airplane breathing the Florida air. The room was very open, which I like. Everything was clean and crisp. After flying from the West Coast, decided to shower, and when I took a bath towel almost thought I had a piece of tissue instead. Very thin, non absorbing towel...yuck. That would be my only issue. Other than that, if you do not have a car like I did, and wanted dinner...great place 1/3 mile walk for some good Seafood.

Fabulous rooms, Fantastic breakfast, Friendly Staff
Park Sleep Fly:
Only downfall is the shuttle service only runs once per hour.
We had parked before our vacation (park fly sleep) and were using the room upon our return. It was unclear to us where to catch the shuttle when arriving at the airport. We were told which post to go to and waited for the shuttle. We saw the shuttle coming and it drove right by! We called and were informed we were at the wrong place. Due to the fact that we had already waited almost half an hour and the shuttle only comes once per hour, we had a wait of almost 1.5 hours for the shuttle. That was not nice after a day of travelling, but the great hotel made up for the rest!
We definitely recommend this hotel!

My husband and I stayed here after our late flight for one night before driving onto Key West. It was very close to the airport, clean, nice room. Neighbor's music was a bit loud, we called down to front desk and a little while later music had stopped. Walls are a little thin, but overall a nice, clean hotel. Continental breakfast was fine, nothing fancy. There is not much in the area, you would need to drive to any tourist attractions. I would stay here again.
