A beautiful hotel. Rooms are so inviting you feel like you're right at home. Bed so comfortable you may not want to leave. Breakfast was good. Ordered pizza to the room from Grand Pizza Co. and wasn't disappointed. Only thing we noticed was the carpets in the hallways were a bit soiled but it appeared to be from room service trays since they soiled areas were near the entrance to the rooms. Will stay here again when cruising.

Stayed here with family. Hotel rating is misrepresented. I'd give it a 2 star rating.
- Deceptive. They advertised shuttle but refused us a shuttle to get us from the airport. When we asked they said they don't provide shuttle later in the evening. This is a larger hotel and there were a lot of people coming from airport. Obviously just an enticement to get business.
- Requested late checkout when we arrived but they said we would have to wait till morning staff were in to make request. Asked staff in morning but most they'd give us is 45 min. past regular checkout time. Which meant we had to wait 3 hours with luggage before we could get on our cruise.
- Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and sometimes rude.
- Service is terrible and non responsiveness.
- staff treat guests like we're n imposition and nuisance.
- Hotel was very dirty. Carpeting was filthy
Poor value for the price. Go somewhere else!!!

Thank you for taking time to write this review. At Best Western Plus Fort Lauderdale Airport South we are committed to exceeding our guest's expectations. We apologize for not being able to do so during your stay.

Our complimentary shuttle service, to and from the airport, is offered daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The options available for guests arriving outside our shuttle service hours are to arrange for a private shuttle or take a cab at the airport. These are readily available at the airport.

Because of the nature of our business, we are only able to offer limited extended check-out times. However, based on availability, you could request an extended check-out for up to 4 hours for an additional fee. If you want more information about this service, please call us at 954-926-7300.

The hotel is under new management now. We are committed to a preventive maintenance program and are already changing the carpets in the hallways. We hope the next time you are in the area, you give us an opportunity to show you our property improvements and our hospitality.

The hotel and included breakfast are quite adequate. The front desk is very busy and does not always get back to you. The lobby furniture is grubby due to lots of cruise traffic in and out. You'll have to clean better and/or get easier-to-clean furniture. Yuck!

We were there for 4 nights in February and had the worse experience. From no shuttle coming to get us from the airport (and no reimbursement for our cab fare), to hairs in the bathroom, to double billing and the list goes on. The couple who's wedding we were there for had a couple of complete strangers even walk into their room at 10:30pm the night before their wedding!!!! We are still fighting to get the double charges off the credit card but it's near impossible to get through to them. Service is terrible. Go somewhere else!!!

A relatively new BW but has definitely had lots of wear and tear already. Many bleach spots on the carpet. It is very crowded on days cruises come in or go out. Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Their 'full' breakfast is average, basically continental only with waffles added. Our room had a horrible odor that I could not get rid of, staff simply said they were sorry. No other rooms available so changing room not an option. The only plus is convenience to port before cruise, as another viewer stated when you ask them to call a cab, they tell you they are calling their service. Not a free hotel shuttle but $35 to the port which is a short drive. Very deceiving.

Thank you for writing this review. We apologize our services did not live up to your expectations. Our complimentary shuttle to and from the airport works from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. It leaves every hour on the hour from the hotel and it arrives at the airport 15-30 minutes past the hour depending on traffic. Our port shuttle is available on high volume cruise days, at specific times, for a nominal fee per person. If a guest is not able to take our port shuttle for some reason, a cab to the port is coordinated. These are independent cab companies and we have no control over their fees.

I lived in this area for fifteen years and left when this hotel was being built. I called ahead asking for a non smoking and very quiet room. I was extremely pleased that I got just what I asked for. I am fussy so when I tell you the rooms was wonderful, bed great you can trust that it is. The breakfast was exceptional for a hotel of this calaber. I would never hesitate to recommend this property

My husband and I stayed at the hotel the night before we left for our cruise on the Epic. It was much cheaper to fly from New Orleans to Fort Lauderdale since we had frequent flyer miles with Southwest. At first we were concerned about how we would get from Fort Lauderdale to the Miami Port, but found a reasonable transportation company (SAS shuttle) that picked us up right at the hotel and brought us directly to the ship. We also made arrangements for our return trip to the airport after the cruise. The hotel is clean and comfortable for an overnight stay, but I would not recommend it for an extended amount of time. They do offer a nice breakfast, but remember that everyone is there for the same reason, so unless you are an early riser, don't expect to find a seat in the small dining area. Remember why you wanted to book here in the first place and you will be pleased with your choice.

Room Tip: Great place to stay before a cruise.
