Clean rooms (including the bathroom), friendly staff and the best customer service I've had for a long time!
Thanks!
I stayed at this hotel because it was the nearest I could find to downtown Dade City and was offered a good rate of 99 dollars. The staff were friendly and a substainal breakfast was included.
Visiting from England I find not many hotels include such a good breakfast or any breakfast at all.
There are several places to eat near by. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
If I ever visit Dade City again I would return
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and could not have been more pleased. Our room was comparable to some at the more upscale hotel chains and we found the senior rate of $125 a good value.
The sheets are of good quality and comforters are covered with duvets. There are several pillows, soft and firm for different preferences.
The bathroom was spacious with a granite counter top. The room has a flat screen TV, a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker.
The hot breakfast on our morning was biscuits and gravy, nothing we would eat, and the cut-up fresh fruit bowl was empty. But there were whole apples and bananas. I would have liked to see one healthy choice among the bread options and real half-and-half for the coffee instead of chemical-laden Coffee-Mate, but those were minor inconveniences. The stronger specialty coffee was tops!
Everyone at the reception was friendly and most helpful.
After reading a negative review of this hotel, we were a little apprehensive about staying there, but found all the complaints of the previous reviewer totally groundless.
I visited the newly built Hampton Inn in Dade City, i made a reservation in advance, as i expected the hotel to be full. Much to my surprise, there were only 6 cars in the parking lot at 8pm at night, and that should have been a warning sign (when i phoned to make a reservation the hotel receptionist said it was the busiest time they had ever experienced and that i should book in advance!).
Even though the hotel was empty, the hotel receptionist (a rather portly lady with a rather firm voice) only offered to discount the rate to $120 per night. I can't see how any hotel around dade city can charge such rates, even a hampton Inn! The rates are totally unjustified.
That said, the hotel was clean, and the bed sheets were clean, however i then had problems logging on to the wi-fi, i called down to the reception, and they said the manager/ owner would look at it in the morning (pointless given they knew my booking was for one night only). The hot breakfast made a welcome change to the normal continental breakfast, though certainly not worth the extra $60 or so to the regular rates i was used to paying at other hotels in the area.
